Yes after much delay, lots of changes to gameplay bugs, and with cool new features. The newest version of JAR is released to the world! The mod can be downloaded here at PCGameMods, it is currently awaiting approval on JK2Files. I will also have an offical JAR server which will be up tomorrow. Change Log is in the perm of the comments. |

Everyone knows about the rampage tidal wave in Asia. We won't dwell on what happened, but we will say that we think everyone should help out in some way. The JAK+ and I considered briefly setting up our own fund for relief, but quickly realized that we would just be acting like the middleman and slowing things down, so we decided to get the word out for relief. I'm sure you've all seen this page on google since it happened, and those are all great things. But I've found two that I particularly like. One is Music For Relief, run by Linkin Park via the Red Cross. It basically guarantees that your money will go to the right place. But if you think that the Red Cross is too big of an organization to do much direct help, I HIGHLY recommend Sri Lanka Sumithrayo. I heard about this one on the radio here in Los Angeles, and it rocks. 100% of the money you donate goes to helping to build these ultra-inexpensive (but not cheap) houses for the thousands of now-homeless people to live in, some permanently and some until they can get permanent digs built after the cleanup. So please, show your awesome JA-ness and donate! It'll help people who need help and make you feel all warm and tingly inside (in the good way)! |

Ahoy everyone, it's your benevolent (except to Gradius) dictator, massadoobie! I just wanted to wish you all a very Merry Christmas, a happy hannukah (even though it was like months ago it seems), a Happy Festivus (for the restofus), a Happy Kwanzaa, and for those of you who don't have any religious affiliation, a Happy Presentday and Happy Saturday December 25th! To those of you who are here for the first time because you got Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy for Christmas... welcome! Read the post below for a true welcome message, but know that we're glad you're here. On that note I want everyone to be safe out there. Last year around this time we lost a dear friend of ours, Vladarion (go here too), to a tragic automobile accident. Take a moment today to remember Vlad and all of your loved ones you may have lost, and give hugs to all the loved ones still around. HO HO HO!!!! |

I would like to take a moment to welcome all the new people who have been applying to the academy recently, be it by just finding the place or seeing the article in the UK PC Gamer. As new members, please be sure to consult the Holocron for any questions you may have, and also to read the Rules. Also a few other things to remember: Only one application per person. Don't send 2 or 3 with different game names to use, you can edit your single account. Also if you never received a confirmation e-mail of your application, take a moment to check to see if your account was actually approved by searching for your name or trying to log in. If not, wait at least a week before trying to apply again. If there is more than one person using the computer to join in your home, be sure to have them also apply and comment how they are related to you. Once again welcome and I hope you enjoy your time at The Academy. |
