Icco has created a TeamSpeak2 Tutorial for everyone who needs to get setup, registered with the server, and I've added a bit about setting up the sound. I have this on the TeamSpeak2 Server Page, under my Permanment comment, if you ever need to direct anyone to it. Thanks Icco! Great work! Now, NO ONE has an excuse to not be using Team Speak  Hooray! |

Just a quick reminder to those of you who may have extra CPU cycles to spare... The JA has a Folding @ Home team that is doing well but we'd love more of you to donate your CPU cycles. What does that entail? Well, whenever your CPU is at rest or not completely maxed out (playing a game or something), the Folding @ Home program will work on decoding a "Work Unit" that consists of a protein structure that needs to be analyzed. It's kind of like SETI @ Home, which some of you may be familiar with. Anyway, we'd love your help, so head on over to the F@H site, dowload the program, and sign up using team number 31419. Edit: Ulic Belouve, who set up our team, reminded me of this forum post about F@H when the team was first put together. |

I'm going to make this brief, I'm bored. I want to let those here old and new what it is that I do. I keep the peace. If people are laming on the servers, screenshot and/or demo them and email it to me. I'm here for your protection and to make your stay at the Jedi Academy a peaceful and friendly one. Raise your sabers high for our newest Knight: Kalheka! Kal performed admirably during his trial. Give him a pat on the back next time you see him on the servers. Make sure you have those sabers turned off first please. |

Browsing through the forums, I've seen alot of people trying to take advantage of places of interest such as the JK: Jedi Academy forum to get a master. There is a place for these posts: Looking For a Master? Looking For a Padawan? Please confine any requests to there. Theres a time and a place for posts like those, well, maybe not a time...  |

Those of you who pay attention to such things have noticed that things have been a little tense around here lately, with some well-known people getting into a little trouble. I would just like to take a moment to remind people that, in order to be a member of the Jedi Academy, you must at all times treat others with respect. Those of you who do not will be punished. Also, the actions of the Council are done with reason, not, as some of you may be assuming, rashly. We actually are more lenient that a lot of you realize (some would say too lenient) and we allow a lot of people to get away with too much sometimes. Also, this is a reminder to those of you of you who have been previously banned and are back in on the "1.999 warnings" condition... we weren't kidding about that, and there isn't a time frame for that condition to go away. So remember to be nice at all time and respect the rules and RESPECT EACH OTHER (this goes for everyone as well) Remember, it's just a game that we all play to have fun.... ------------ UPDATE ---------------------------- I would like to announce that our Knight, Chicka has made herself a prominent member of this Academy, and as of today has achieved the rank of Jedi Instructor!
