I think it takes fiction in a direction it should never go. Its like doing a fanfic on jesus, you just shouldn't. What's worse is, despite it being obvious fiction, people believe it as fact. Intentionally or otherwise it is spreading lies into popular belief. It raises doubt around the Church. In recent times they hardly could do with another dose of that.
