I'm not sure if this is SUPPOSED to be out yet, but it is... head on over to AOL's download center (AOL, bleh), and get the new Jedi Academy Demo. I haven't tried it yet, so check the comments for this news post for people to explain what's in the demo. The next phase in the Jedi Academy's history is almost here! |

Charon, be sure to play the second level. You need force jump 3 to do some of the moves, like wallrun etc I've played the demo all day long. The dual sabers were too powerful imo. Did anyone else catch the single saber animation glitch? When you walk backwards with your saber ignited, the animation looks really jerky... having played the game before *cough*, i have to say that by including tatooine they may have lost a few, if not a lot of, potential buyers. there are MUCH better levels in the game than tatooine... but i guess they couldn't show all of their good stuff for free. still a fun demo, and i'm still looking forward to the final game _______________ -Academy Leader/Dictator/Defeater of DJ Sith and JACen Solo in the JAK+ Tournament -I do think it (the JA) will help convert dozens, maybe hundreds, to the dork nation... --me |

Maps are .bsps java. Hm, is it possible to convert JK2 maps into JK3? It shouldnt... but on the other hand, why not? Edit: Just tried placing some maps and skins into the demo folder Game doesnt start then, says "Corrupted pk3s" Just played it aswell. Three times, lol. Staff rocks all the way. Oh, does somebody know how to do the Pull-Attack with single saber? I somehow cant do it (and yes, I've tried it with level 3 pull) And... single saber and dual saber cannot kick? That sucks! But those two-side-stabs rock all the way with dual swords. Must be good in 2vs1. Wh00t, this game is far better than I've expected. Although the tatooine level looks pretty poor imo. Oh, and try cg_drawfps 1 in console. Commands are still the same. Well, I'm 99th in line to download at FilePlanet. The screenshots are breathtaking. I saw the Falcon in there...was that a certain Wookie I saw? At least they won't have paid a lot for the celebrity voice royalties. Is there any way to make this page less than seven screens wide so I won't need the horizontal scroll? Does anybody know what kind of map file format JA will take? Will it be possible to make a Radian .map file into a .bsp (or whatever) for JA? _______________ My signature is only one line.
