I got this through my mail earlier: Hey guys this is Icco and i need something from you guys. In the holocron project we have a thing called the movement section. in it i am supposed to post how you "move" in jk2 but there is this slight problem, i went on to the servers and no one person could say their movement tips and what not. so i decided to make a news post(with loafs permission)where youu guys can post all of your super cool and super 133t moves from the triple backflip to the strafe jump. put anything here. if you provide useful info you will be given credit in the holocron project. thanks alot! |

this is really wierd, an in-the-air 360 double-spin dfa works best from a walk jump and do a regular double-spin in the air, while doing that, press either right arrow or left arrow, depending wich direction you want to spin right before you land, let go of all keys and press forward, jump, and attack (not necisarily in that order) to do the dfa sorry, that's the best i can do, it's instictive to me _______________ Well then. Just so you know, just because I don't post often doesn't mean I don't lurk this place multiple times every day... |

Icco - thanks for taking the initiative here. Jake - I've been really busy, so thanks for moderating. Others - All your special combos are really cool, and would be perfect in Exar's Saber section. Exar will grab what he saw here, but if ya got any others, wander over to his "office" in the Holocron threads and post 'em! -rh _______________ Back from the dead... Vulture - Standard Circle Strafing Move, you continue to circle around your opponent until he gets fustrated, then then proceed to tighten the circle until you are getting to his back, do simple slashs Bunny Hopping - Standard Velocity Gainer... Nothing fancy here... Hold forward + strafe and jump, time your jumps so you can jump as soon as you hit the ground Wall Running and Flips - Often used, rarely mastered... People uses this moves often, but more out of boredom than use.. This move can very carefuly used to confuse your opponent, you move much faster in air that ground, if you use this, your opponent will have a hard time tracking for only a few seconds so take advantage of it.. Wall flips are fun, but only used when it's set up right, so try to be concious of this move. Those are all I can offer from memory.. sorry _______________ Bringing newbies closer to perfection since 1998. |

errr the strafe jumping I know works different. run forward, then start to strafe in another direction, but dont let go of forward. then jump off in a diagonal direction, and use ur mouse to steer. it is easily possible to get from on to the other side of the matrix. I also have seen people jumping over the BIG leap in the Lost Temple. generally, I can only recommend JA_map V2 for movement training issues. Whenever u jump and land on a slope, do a strafejump off the slope again to do a very long jump. extremely necessary during CTF games. thus, u can get from the ramp in Lost Temple to the opposing side. _______________ One of the Belouve boys, founder of the mighty FiZZsters Midbie council #20 - Fizz - #1933 - Jan '03 - Aug '04 "Renfield, you idiot!" Guys guys guys, movement yeah ? All this saber stuff will most likely be covered in the saber section. Movement is everything from the basic roll and flip, the intermediate wall walk, the advanced strafe jump and the expert wall glide. ------------------------------ Those reversal jump aso, yeah they are kool Float jumping. Run roward, then let go, whilst you're still moving forwards with the momentum, hit jump, you'll spread your arms and do what I can only describe as a floating jump (thats kinda what it looks like). These can also be done sideways and backwards, and they actually give you a slight bit more distance and height, I've researched this for myself as well as read it in a few other peoples guides. Jumping backflip, not practical as you can just turn round but still good to know, and looks kool. If you press backwards and jump, you do a backflip. But....If you press jump and and then backwards straight away you'll jump upwards and backwards whilst flipping. If you wait a bit longer before hitting backwards you just do a backwards/upwards jump. Strafe jumping, kinda hard to describe as its almost second nature, I'm sure someone will say it better than me but here goes... Starting from standing, run forward and jump, whilst in the air hold a direction, as soon as you touch the floor hit jump again, this time change the direction that you hold, keep swapping directions and you should fly around the map. works better with speed. Wall glide, I've still not mastered this, but can do it if you need a demonstration. It involves jumping at a wall (think you need no force or you'll do a normal jump) at speed, holding jump, and scooting up the wall. Think you need a slanted surface at the bottom of the wall somewhere. i've got some AMAZING demos of a guy doing some crazy crazy wall glides, I'll mail em over when I get home The counter roll/reversal roll. Pretty much everyone knows this, roll forward then mid roll hold backwards, you'll sort of skid. Stand under a slanted surface that is angling upwards and away from you, your head will hit it and you'll float up the slant. Just to save you guys some time posting them, we don't really want the silly little things you can do, like monkey walking, the walk tap (tap walk repeatedly and move)breakdancing stuff. right now its only serious stuff which actually helps you in the game. Thats all I can think of now, I know the rest of my team wanted input from the other students, so I hope I havn't stolen all the ideas _______________ Apprenctice of Jedi Master Ascari (deceased) Descended from a line of great Jedi Will argue any point of view from any side |

ha these are nice an easy one here: just du a high jump with a sidespin, but keep holding the other direction so jump straight upwards, adjust position tobe able to land right next to ur opponent. if u're on him, just do a red double-downhack and aim it rght on his head. or do some sideswing combos. if he got used to these and tries to counter, with a lounge mostly, simply roll to the side and sideswing him, or land behind him whilst do a spin _______________ One of the Belouve boys, founder of the mighty FiZZsters Midbie council #20 - Fizz - #1933 - Jan '03 - Aug '04 "Renfield, you idiot!" |

my personal lame one hit kill dfa combo Jump forward, but spin backwards - most people dont know how to - : Just jump forward, and just before you get your feet of the ground, press back and jump together. Then while jumping, in the air, get behind your opponent, and keep facing him. Then, just before you reach the ground, and your opponent is still suprised, do a dfa into his back :p If no one has a clue what im talking about, just ask me, and ill show you on the servers This comment was edited by Aron on May 01 2003 07:51am. |

how about my aerial triple red swing dfa you run or walk forward left, you jump and immidiatly attack and let go of forward then after that swing hold left backwards. then you will reach the ground and you can easily perform a Rdfa |
