The thoughts, feelings, and prayers of the Jedi Academy Staff go out to the friends and families of the victims of the World Trade Center and Pentagon attacks one year ago today. A special thank you needs to go out to the firemen, policemen and women who lost their lives helping to safeguard our citizens. Please keep all of these brave souls and their families in your hearts and minds today as you go about your daily business and practice your skills on the servers.

Continuing our theme of actually getting stuff running right around here... We're looking for a few good questions. That's right, we're gonna compile a Frequently Asked Questions (commonly referred to as a FAQ... say that, it's dirty ) list for people who aren't totally in the know. Go ahead and send those questions to our hotmail account, and feel free to ask the "dumb questions" (like how to connect to the servers)... There are no dumb questions, only dumb council members who provide the answers.
On a different note, we've decided to discontinue the use of the Creations Networks server as an official JA server with Jedimod. Emperor Lightning is in the process of totally redoing his hardware, and once that's all done we'll repost the server as a pure server. For now we want to focus on our pure servers, DJ Sith's and the Gamecity.nl European server. Once again, I'd like to thank Emperor Lightning for letting us abuse his rig for a few months, and hopefully we'll be able to use it again soon. Thanks man!

That's right folks. The new and improved classes system is up and running. This new one is time zone independent, so there will be no more of this silly "I missed the class" nonsense.
If you want the classes to appear in the correct time for your time zone you *MUST* edit your profile (log into the site & click My Profile on the left) and set your UTC offset. There's a map there to help you out if you dont know how far you are from UTC.
You JAT's reading this: Start making classes! Summer break is over! Get back to work!

Since we have around 15 trainers I'm going to hold off on trainer tryouts. Don't worry though your future trial could be right around the corner. Keep training!!!

After reading posts and hearing from fellow council members that many of you see me as an ogre. I do apologize to those that I have been harsh on. Some of my actions were a bit premature. I do want you to know that the only reason I act the way I do is I try to maintain a stable server where the rules are enforced. This is a public server and yes there are going to be some troublemakers. I do the best I can with what I have. I know when I'm on the servers I get hammered with private messages, some I don't see or some I forget. If I don't answer on the server it's not like I hate you. If you have a question or concern you can always catch me on IRC or even e-mail me. As for the administrator powers I try not to overuse them. I do have a tendency to slap but it is usually those with whom can take it as fun. If I do accidently do something at random I always apologize and fix it. But if you feel you have been injusticed in anyway please feel free to confront me with it. I will try to be a bit more "relaxed" with the rules and try to be a more cheerful person. On that note I bid you goodnight.

Alright, now that I'm getting back into the groove of being your gracious leader, I've decided to get off my duff and do something. I set up this email address so you can directly help us improve this already wonderful (in my opinion) place. Be sure to include your gamename and/or username in all emails, and understand that this isn't for flaming, it's for constructive criticism and help (and if you flame us and waste our lovely 2MB space, you'll get a warning). Also, since we only have 2MB, please don't attach any files to the email.

The site crappiness seems to be for the most part behind us. I'd just like to remind you all that we DO have a really lovely European server provided by the wonderful folks at gamecity.nl. So go use it or something.

I've been working on a possible Jedi Academy desktop theme. For those that don't know what that is a desktop theme is what your windows icons look like, wallpaper, and sounds. So what I need is a good wallpaper. I'm looking for a totally kewl picture of the academy or even some other picture relating to the academy in some way. ^.^
