No this is has nothing to do with Ulic's post. I just found out that I have been accepted into the Star Wars: Galaxies Beta. Thus I will mostly be spending my time there. I'm going to make sure this game turns out great!  See ya'll on the flip side! |

Prom has begun, as of.... NOW. There was an update on the prom map, so if you haven't downloaded the map sine today, you'll probably have to download it again. Please login to the website and goto the servers page: JA Prom Server Special thanks to Sleepyd for hosting the Prom this year!! and the map link, is updated in the previous post. It has the same name, just download it again and put it in your \base\ directory. ---- Since this has been a long time in the developing, if anyone acts out of line on the server at all, you will be banned for the rest of the prom. So use your judgement, no fighting, attacking, firing guns, and nothing that you would think would be distruptive, or you can sit outside and cry on the step. Have a good time! |

At long last, Johnny Rico has completed the offical JA Prom map, that will be used on the server for the JA Prom tomorrow (Saturday 8pm GMT/20:00 GMT) He told me to mention the extra special help from mapping-master Preadator Kallata'n, who helped him finish the map up! The new updated files on ALL the US servers are as follows (You do not have to download these, but to see all the skins of the other players that might be using these, you would) MaP: Promv2.pk3 New Skins: server-pack.zip (All of the following skins in 1 zip) tuxedo Skin! I was doing some reading on the Star Wars: Galaxies forums and ran across an interesting topic. It had a link to the story of Shawn Woolley, who took his life after being PK'd in Everquest. I'm saying this because it's a little after a year since his death and we need to remind ourselves that this is just a game. If you find yourself getting too involved push your chair back, go outside, breathe some air, and say "It's just a game." The Home server's password changed again. It was causing a conflict with one of the characters and the Dutch? style keyboard layout. My Apologys for any members that couldnt get on for the last few days. Check the updated password! --- PROM DATE IS SET FOR: Saturday May 31st @ 8pm GMT --- There will be a server pack released with prom outfits on Wednesday of this week, it will be posted here when it is finished. --- The Map, for prom, done by our own Johnny Rico, will also be availible here, by Wednesday as well. There will be a special server setup, with a password, and that will be posted the day OF the prom. Please check back here, for information. The password will be on the servers page, and a new temporary server will be added to the list. Please post here if you have any other questions. JAcen Nabeshin Solo and La Magra have both been promoted to the rank of Jedi Master. They are now at the top rank here at the Jedi Academy that most people can obtain. These two worked really hard for their placement and their dedication has made this JA a better place. The Job of a Jedi Master is to be in constant contact with our lead trainer, Huxley, continue teaching classes, be included in more of JAC decisions, and to overall set a good example. You guys already have done that so for that I am thankfull. Great Job you two...I salute you!!! |

I honestly expected to see more about JK3 with all the E3 articles I've been trying to follow. I did however come accross a small review by Gabe at Penny Arcade (funny comic. read it. alot): If you want to know what the coolest thing about Jedi Academy is go back and read my post from when Jedi Knight II came out. Essentially I said it was cool but the multiplayer blew. I said what the game needed was mission based objectives that pitted rebels against imperials. Well that is exactly what they delivered. The gentleman delivering the demo told us that each mission will require players to select certain roles such as demolitions expert, Scout Walker pilot or even Jedi in order to complete the objective. He described how a Jedi might have to provide cover for a trooper as he planted a bomb that would destroy an imperial facility. Or how Imperial soldiers would need to blow open a wall protecting a rebel base allowing another player to pilot a Scout Walker in and start tearing shit up Endor style. It's got a single player mode as well that looked neat but I'll be buying this game for the multiplayer. So far I'm hearing good things about the game. The new terrain engine looks cool from what I saw in the trailers. I know this will hurt the rift between "FPS gamer" and "Star Wars fan" in the community, but I like how they're adding role elements to multiplayer. |

Totally free, it scans your system and gets rid of those memory eating, cookie reading, spyware. I scanned my system this morning and cleaned a lot of it off...This is a must download if you want to keep your network and PC safe. |

Ummm... We just had an anniversary. We turned a year old on May 17th. I can't believe we forgot. Bah. But yeah, WOOOOHOOOOO, we made it a year! On behalf of the Council I'd just like to say thanks to everyone who's made this place as super-de-duper as it has been. Here's to many more years to come! (Dude, I can't believe we forgot...) |
