Just a friendly reminder from the powers that be. We put class descriptions, skill levels, etc in our class pages because we want you to read them.  If you're a beginner please don't sign up for an advanced class unless you think you can handle it. Don't go about signing up for every class in the list. Read those class descriptions! That is all. Carry on!  |

Theforce.net's gaming division has interviewed Raven Software's Kenn Hoekstra, who gave up some more tidbits on the upcoming Jedi Academy game. He discusses multiplayer gaming modes, the modding scene, and a few other things. One thing to note that in the "siege" multiplayer mode there will be player classes and driveable vehicles! Man o man I can't wait for this game. |

For those that don't know a few of our members have decided to form a Star Wars Galaxies Player Association for Academy members that wish to hang out when the game is released. I've recieved a note from Lord Freedon Nadd about what's been going on there lately: The SWG Academy finally has its own forums, made by our good member KomeK. It's a PHP forum, so it's functionalities are much like the JA forums. You can only be a member if you are a member of the SWG PA. KomeK is also making us a new site, which will be ready next month. I've finally updated the old site and you can still sign up there. Once you're signed up at the old site, you can also register for the forums and one of the admins will activate your account here. When the new site is done, the forums can be completely implemented, as the new site will be PHP based as well. The forum is a preview for the design of the new site, which is looking good, especially the logo. Thanks for KomeK for all the help. Regards, the SWG Academy PA council. Jacen Aratan has sent me word about an IRC channel in use by some of the Dutch, Finnish, Norwegian, Icelandic, and other northern European members. Check out #ja-nl on QuakeNet to hear folks speak in languages with odd characters that I can't understand. Jacen tells me that this was Darkwood's idea. Handshakes for you, sir! I've updated the chat page, so you can get to it from the website. Just select "ja-nl" in the channel drop-down box. Have fun, everyone! |

Well this doesn't happen everyday... I was browsing the forums and found something I thought should come to everyone's attention. One of our students, koushka, and his wife... well I'll let him tell you. "w00t My wife and I just had our second child, a girl. Her name is Annastasia Christine Minor. She weighed 8.46 lbs and reached 20 inches long with a head circumferance of 14 inches. We were in labor for 27 fricken hours, I tell you, this is my last kid. So if I am not around I will be tending RL stuff. *passes out its a girl cigars with pink wrappers*" Congrats man! |

This will be my last post... Throughout my time in the Academy, I have seen good and the bad. I have met many new people, and many friends. I thank you all for such a great time. I'm not coming back, and you won't hear from me again. Again, thank you for the great time, it's been a blast. |

GalacticHunter.com has interviewed Raven's Kenn Hoekstra. In it they give a brief rundown of the single player story, weapons, and combat additions. There's some new screenshots in there for you guys and girls as well. Lookin' good! |
