Hyah Fellas...as time has been going slowly since my retirement, I have been in an overall better place as far as RL goes. I have my time managed better as well as less stress. All of you now know that Orion has taken over the JAR and JA Mod projects and will continue their success in the admin mod industry. As far as modding goes, I have been able to put forth my effort back into the team I joined a while back. The Attack of the Clones Total Conversion. The leader has recently sent an email to me as it states: ------------------- From: :: Attack Of The Clones TC :: For The Jedi Knight Series New!!!! We will be releasing a small map pack and code for MP in the first week of March this year. We are hoping that it will contain upto 3 maps, dual, FFA and something else  . Itwill also include new models and or include the current models, there will be new loading screens , hud and sounds/music. You will all get a SPECIAL LINK that will allow you to download it before anyone else. Has you might have noticed Wireplay Server was down for a couple of days. Our friend NUT, WP's Community Liasom brought it to life again for the EU folks delight. He also asked me to tell you that the WP JK:JA League is starting. Check it out at their forums. As many of you may notice, our rules are pretty out of date. They were originally written about a year and a half ago in five minutes by me after a particularly frustrating day, and so aren't really up to date with what is going on in the Academy now. But that's about to change. Two of our trusted knights, Hardwired and Fizz took it upon themselves to start rewriting and revamping the rules. Their hard work continues, but the Council has decided to appoint them to the role of Rules Revampers/Maintainers, to recognize their hard work and to encourage them to finish! Congrats gents, we expect some sweet new rules soon! |

As many of you know, yesterday our official Academy hugger Angel D'kana was supposed to get married. Well we've received word that the ceremony went through and was a rousing success. Angel, we'd all like to congratulate you on your wedding and wish you and your new husband happiness for the rest of your life! |

Holy cow do we have a news post for you! See, the JACs FINALLY decided to have a meeting and wow was it a doozy! After a lot of deliberation and input from the staff, JAKs, and JATs, we've come to these conclusions: -In order to replace cHoSeN-OnE, who retired, and Whispy, who is retiring (damn FF-XI!), we have named to the Jedi Academy Council Buzz as our new enforcer and Virtue as our new community liasion! Both of these gentleman have proven their value to the Academy repeatedly and are of the utmost character, intelligence, and honor. Welcome aboard guys! The Council is stronger with you around! -Also as a means to replace the beloved c1, we have named Orion to the staff as Official Coder. He'll be assuming control of the JAR project. -There are some changes in the JAT ranks as well. JACen Solo has stepped down as Lead Trainer to become Teaching Coordinator. The Lead Trainer position is now a JAT position and has been awarded to La Magra, with Luke Skywalker as Vice Lead Trainer. Since the Lead Knight position has been vacated, FaDed has been named to fill the position as our new Lead Knight with Lord Exar Kun as Vice Lead Knight. This is an exciting time for the Jedi Academy. The Council and I feel that these changes will allow the Academy to continue to grow and thrive well into the future. FOR THE ACADEMY! Edit: both Luke and Exar have accepted their positions. w00t! |

Our very own Scottish king Jumpin Jedi assisted by our very own Attorney General Buzz have concocted a list of some of the more popular JK2 skins we have on the JK2 servers and converted them for use in JK3! Ladies, Gentlemen, and Jacen Aratan, I'd like to announce the promotion of two of our finest JATs to the rank of Jedi Master! This rank, as listed in the Holocron, is for "teachers who are constantly doing a good work and get this rank as a form of recognition. Masters are somewhat like the old school and definitely the right person to address to if you either want to learn advanced moves or have an important issue to discuss." Somewhat of an honorary rank, it is designed to bring attention to long-serving, honorable JATs who we feel deserve special recognition. But enough of the jibber jabber. The JATs and JACs have voted, after a nomination process involving the JAKs as well, to bestow this honor upon Luke Skywalker and (SKX) Dark Blade! Both of these chaps have been serving as JATs for some time and have proven themselves to be constantly reliable, honorable, and helpful. So raise up those sabers for our new Jedi Masters!!! |

Lately, there have been some reports of people's accounts being hijacked. The person fakes your nickname, realname, and if he has your Q account name, he fakes that too. It is not known how he managed to get the the passwords for the Q accounts, but please remind: BE CAREFULL WHERE YOU TYPE YOUR Q ACCOUNT PASSWORDS! Everyone who's account got hacked, should go to http://housecall.antivirus.com and scan their computer there. There are some virusses/trojans that steal your account passwords, so this might be the cause too. IF your account got hacked, please take a look here. Please remind that if your account gets hacked, and that person changes your password, there is NO WAY OF GETTING YOUR ACCOUNT BACK. This is Quakenet policy, so accept it. Anyways, please be carefull with sensitive information, and watch out when clicking links on IRC. That would be all, have a nice day Edit: I just discovered that the person isnt actually HACKING the accounts, he just fakes them, by using underscores and dashes, etcetera. If you see someone you think might be an impersonator, send me or a JAK/JAT/JAC a private message, with his hostmask, nick, etc. |
