It seems that all preparations for the Prom could not be perfected in time, so it has been postponed. Please keep in mind, it is only postponed to make it more perfect!  When it is done, it will rock (Ask Silky). The academy prom will be held in about 2 weeks. Use your time to get a date  -A |

Yep, that's right, you guessed it. MOTREC has passed the Knight Trials and is now one of the boys.  Everyone go pat him on the back and tell him that he RULES!!  Congratulations MOTREC, proud to have you on board. |

I think I'll just let JAcen handle this one... "LAdies and Gentleman As you might have noticed I haven’t been around as much as I used to be. A mix of RL, Work and College are taking up most my time so I can’t dedicate my self to the JA as I used to. As this situation is not bound to change any time soon I don’t feel right to keep my position on the council. I think the rest of the JACs are doing a bang up job giving the Academy it’s old flavor, and the recent restructuring of the JAK+ ranks seams to have settled some internal disputes witch pleases me a lot. It looks like the JA is going back to the old “Family” environment that attracted us to it and made us spend hundreds of hours sucked to the PC screen. I’m a big supporter of leading by example, so as I’ve always made sure to preach I’m stepping down to JAS as I can’t keep up with the my JAC duties. I’m not leaving the JA so don’t make a big deal about this , I will still be around on IRC and occasionally on the servers. I’ll probably do some old-timer preaching on the forums occasionally . It was a pleasure and an honor to work with each and everyone of you and I hope that someday, if time allows me, to do it allover again. /me bows I’ll see everyone around "JACe, we'll miss you in the Council lounge my friend. You've served us well and are by far one of the best people we've had come through here, as well as being a great friend. Don't let this "just a student" thing turn into an "inactive student" thing, or we'll send Buzz to get you! |

The Second Annual Academy Prom, run by our very own fake retired JAC wannabe Silkmonkey, will be THIS WEEKEND, April 24th-25th. It'll be an all-weekend celebration of the coolness of the Academy and will be taking place on jk3home. Silk has created a special map for the occasion, which will be released shortly before the prom itself. Any question? Check out the official thread here |

Unfortunately, the recent structural revamp has meant the lost of one of the Academy's greatest. Lord Exar Kun has decided it's time to move on to different things in his life. He has left a goodbye speech that I have posted in the comments of this post. We wish Exar the best of luck in the future and hope he will one day return to us... they always do |

This won't apply to the vast majority of you, but I figure I should announce it anyway. The Council, after serious deliberations and analysis of the past few months, has decided to revamp the structure and responsibilities of the Knights and Trainers. The contents of this revamp can be found here (note, this revamp was written directly for the Knights and Trainers, so when it says "you", that's who it's referring to I also recommend you download the file and open it in a program that does wordwrapping. Browsers seem to butcher the formatting). I will post a permanent post in the comments with Frequently Asked Questions intended to clarify the changes and, well, questions you might have. This is a new chance for the Academy, a chance to shed some dead weight that has been dragging us down and preventing us from being even better than we are now. As always, VIVA LA ACADEMIA! |

Good afternoon ladies and gentleman. As some of you may recall , a few months ago the idea of using the JA infrastructure to teach subjects other then JK game play came about. It took some time to come alive but we are finally picking it up. The Science department has now 2 scheduled classes: C++ Programing – With Orion and cmad x And Running a JO/JA game server 101 – With the one and only DJ Sith Expect more classes for this department and the Arts department kick start soon. |

Geez, now we have a kitty as a Knight? What in the world is goin on here?!?! Somehow Acey Spadey has conned us into promoting him, so as to advance his plane of creating a SUPERIOR FELINE RACE BENT ON WORLD DESTRUCTION!!!! Actually he's just another great guy who will be a fantastic knight. Three w00ts, a m000, and a m30w for Acey! w00t w00t w00t! m0000! m333330w! This just in from our own DJ Kent Brockman: "This.. just in! Acey spadey has given the honor of knighthood! Acey spadey was unavailable for comment as he was seen pooping in the sandbox in the courtyard When questioned about the promotion massadoobie was reported to have said "It seemed like the right thing to do at the time.
