Here's a friendly reminder to those of you who are US citizens of voting age: your vote counts! Voting for the candidate you believe in can never be a "wasted vote". * I want to see comments on this post tomorrow saying that you went out and fufilled your civic duties! This is a big election, and we need everyone's opinion on it so please hit those polls tomorrow! Our official map - "the_academy_v2" is quite close to completion now. And with it, we're going to try to be as original as possible. Pretty much everything in the map is new, if not, nicely modified. Now, along with some of the new features are the new NPCs. Alot of people like the NPC room in v1, it's just a pity that the NPCs are so 'dumb'. Well, v2 will introduce totally new NPCs, custom made for the Academy by our very own Sared. Why am I telling you this now? You may ask... Well, our new NPCs need voices This is where you guys come in. If you wish to provide the voice for one of the three new Dark Jedi NPCs for v2 which will be the default map on our Servers (and thousands of public servers once it's publically released) - then please contact either Myself or Sared. We will be holding 'auditions' on the JA Teamspeak Server soon. More details on this are to follow shortly. |

Uh-oh, some idiot decided to give Gradius a Jedi Knight Trial...and he passed.  So, everyone go congratulate him for being our newest addition to the rank of Jedi Knight. He performed exceptionally well on his Trial and is now one of our beloved Staff members. Welcome aboard, Gradius! |

I think there may be a bit o' confusion out there about the padawan "rank" and where it fits in the academy. A padawan is a student who is being privately trained by a staff member. It is not a promotion or a higher rank. It is important to remember that the real "rank" of padawan is "student." I've updated the Holocron to clarify this. |

Yes, well, Mune didn't realize how much schooling and generally how much of a kick in the touche he'd receive this year from a couple of classes, and with the program being such a time hog for one person, he's decided to hand down this particular job after blatantly stopping altogether .That's right. The Student Introduction Program will now be picking up again thanks to Bail Hope Belouve, SaberWeildinKow, Setementor, and Squibit. I'll be supervising these folks, and if you volunteered to help in the thread, you can probably expect to be contacted soon to welcome some newbs . If you'd like to volunteer, just head on over to the thread or shoot an e-mail to the guys and they'll get you squared away.In other news, some new articles for the Holocron (Changes from JK2 to JK:JA and Dual Sabers) should be coming up soon if I can get a lick of time. It seems to be a good time for the Jedi Academy. We're getting new Knights all over the place, the systems that we have put into place seem to be working brilliantly, we'll soon have an updated version of our Home - the_academy, which is nearly done and well on it's way and above all, everyone is learning and just generally having a good time here. It's my pleasure to add yet more excitement to the already thriving coolness that we have going on right now by announcing that the much loved Mace Windu has returned to us. Master Windu has been reinstated as a Jedi Knight and is now ready again, to help keep the peace, teach, and have fun with everyone. Welcome back Master Windu! Personally, I'm thrilled that you have returned and welcome you, warmly back to your rightful place with us as a Jedi Knight. Peace, brother. |
