Ok peeps. I'm gonna run this like we did last time, so I'm gonna need an agenda to work from. Everyone put down things that you wanna discuss in this thread.

Just an FYI: those of you who haven't been to these meetings, let me give you some info...

They can be long. I don't want them to be long. You don't want them to be long. Hence, I try my best to run it in a strict manner to stay on topic and keep things short and simple.

What does this mean?

I will run it as a moderator, and will attempt to keep some order. I like to try to "give up the floor" for a person to say what they want on the topic (everyone be quiet till they're finished, plz), and then I'll come back on and either paraphrase and/or make note of their comment. Then I'll move on to the next person on the attendance list and let them comment.

I'd rather not have lots of jokes or miscellaneous comments flying around polluting the workspace we're on. Well, ok. =) It's impossible to not do this every once in a while, but I want everyone to really refrain from going crazy about it. This means you don't need to comment "lol" every time someone says something funny, or stuff like that. It makes the screen fly by, and I have to scroll up to see who said what only very recently. (Oh, poor Ruuk. He has to work a little bit... ;) ) Ah, phooey on you peeps!

Also, if you say something and it isn't on topic, I very well may ignore what you're saying to keep the discussion from being diverted. I would appreciate it if others would do the same. If peeps DO start commenting on the off-topic subject, I will shut it down and ask to withhold those comments until later on. If your concern is not on the agenda list, write it down and keep it until toward the end of the meeting. At that point in time, we will have a more open session for people to propose their off-agenda points. I will, however, do this is the same fashion...going down the attendance list.

The following is an example of what I expect (and hope):

======

Ruuk: Ok, item 6 on the agenda. Bleah bleah bleah bleah. Person A? What do you think?

Person A: Bleah bleah bleah. What about bleah? I mean, bleah bleah BLEAH bleah.

Ruuk: Ok, person a thinks bleah. What do you think person b?

Person B: Nah, don't like it.

Ruuk: Why?

Person B: Just because.

Ruuk: Ok, person C?

Person C: I'll have to agree. I think this that and whatever.

Ruuk: Good point. Hadn't thought about it that way. Maybe so... Ok, person D?

Person D: Yeah, me too.

Ruuk: Why?

======

...and so forth. As you can see, we will be able to get our comments out but in a more organized fashion. And if you answer it in two parts (like, yes or no and then why?) you can make things go faster. I won't have to ask you..."uh...ok, why do you think that?" Come on, don't make me type more than I have to!!! You guys may be participating, but I gotta type my ass off to run the meeting, for heavens sake!! =)

Hopefully, this makes sense to everyone.

Any questions about the procedures, let me know.

Jedi Prodigy should be there tomorrow, and should help us better understand JK3 as well. I'm wondering how much we need to change too...we'll see.

Exar- Undead is gonna be there tomorrow too. Maybe you two guys could work together on the demos. He seems interested in this aspect of things. Just an FYI.

note to self: MAKE THOSE DAMN DEMOS YOU PROMISED TO MAKE

and all we need to do for JKJA is the new specials ;). single saber stuff is pretty much the same. for the rest we need to have a siege description in alternate gamemodes. lets discuss that kind of stuff.

Jedi Prodigy informed me that the left swings are noticibly slower than before. Prolly has to do with improved physics. Just an FYI.

Except for a few new specials, the single saber works the same.

Why should our government send our soldiers to foreign soil to protect freedom of speech, when our freedom of speech is being taking away everyday by the same government.

Well if we have the JK3<-->JK2 thing covered I think we are quite far already. Adding your other points (organisation, staff, promoting, site layout etc etc) and not much I can think of in addition. Maybe

- The integration in JA site (or not), (might need DJ for it actually)
- DARN! cant think of anything else now.. I'll tell when I think of something...

About the being worth the effort thing, are we doing everything we can to promote the project? What else can we do?

- defenitly JK3 <-> JK2
- feedback from students (is our work worth the effort?)
- me personal want/must go back to consultant mode because of a lack of time. means, i wont push anything neither feel too much responsible about the Holocron. you come to me and ask, i will answer. i'll explain why :)
- holocron structure (section leaders? who are they? who are their helpers? can/want they to continue their job?)

Some unorganized thoughts:

Are we still going to update the JK2 section or are we going to dedicate all new work to JA entirely? What new things do we have planned and who is going to do them?

Are we making two Holocrons, say, for people who don't have both games? I wouldn't want a newbie searching for a force power that isn't even in the game because they misread the section.

Do we have separate staff for each Holocron, if we do decide to have two?

Are we working on a new layout? Right now, it doesn't look as clean and professional as I would like.

More thoughts coming later...
