Out of curiosity, I was wondering if we have a compiled list of every availible combo in the game?

Might be a powerful tool, that we can offer to members of the community only or something.

Make a nice table for each stance, with different combos, and names that we make up for them (serious names)

Thoughts?

err, anyway, carebear the structure (as Ruuk already said) is based on sections. each section covers a certain topic, like for example one section is dedicated to saber, one to force etc. thos sections each have a section leader. their task: to collect everything regarding their topic while following our index. HOW they gonna find everything is up to them. they can go out and ask for help, write on their own or copy with permission from other sites.

so... if you want to add some combos, go right down the hallway, take the lift to 4th floor and you will find the saber section with our adorable lord exar kun in charge ;) (in other words go to the "saber" thread)

Halendor, Jake - Good points, and thanx. Carebear, we've been trying to get as much feedback as possible from anyone who'd want to help. Those who don't feel their voices are heard are...well, misunderstanding what we're trying to do. If you feel you have something to contribute, we'd be MORE than willing to hear what you have to say.

The reason we have section leaders is because you need to create an organization with responsibilities. Those people who had enough (excessive?! ;) ) interest in helping with the Holocron writing were the ones selected to be the section leaders. They were given the task of collecting as much information as they possibly could regarding their topic, and then writing it up. Anything anyone said within that specific thread was (should have been) considered. But in no way was this project an attempt to hijack the common knowledge of the JA and JK2 and force people to read what _we_ think is the best way to do things. If you think this is the case, I'm afraid you haven't been following the project very closely, and I'm sorry you've gotten that impression.

I _will_ take the opportunity to suggest something, tho: section leaders/writers might want to go back through your specific threads and make sure you've picked up on relevant comments. Perhaps there is something someone had to say that was not visited and thoroughly considered.

Enough on this from me. Any other concerns regarding this issue, I'd be _more_ than happy to discuss them privately. :)

CareBear, everyone who has something to say can post it in this forums. If you check out the posts most say "post your contribution here concerning this topic".

The thing is carebear, JKII has limits to what you can and cannot do. The people we ask and have working on the holocron know pretty much all there is to know. I for example would be very surprised (but also very happy :P) if someone knew a new force combo which wasn't a variation of existing ones.

I think too the component list is much better, because in the end you learn more from understanding the moves than just using pre-made ones, it just encourages your own imagination and creativity more.

On the other hand, you could post some examples below the list of components, so you give the students something to work with.

Ha, I have one of these thanks to all the free time in my precal class, it is pretty cool if I do say so my self, it is set up so that you pick an attack and follow it to the other available attacks, you can start and end anywhere, it only took about an hour to draw up, too bad it isn't on my computer. I tried to scan it but it is in pencile, so it did not show up, ill see if I can get it typed up or something. oh, you are right, it is a useful tool.

*WHAP!* Exar gives a smackdown.

What he means, is: Aphex, you _do_ have a good point. So good that Exar decided to do his section that way!

This is intresting...because i'm constantly trying to think of an effective way to teach..not just combos...but how to combo. Perhaps a list of ALL the combos is not the right way to go here. Instead, explain how combos work in each stance, and how to best utiilze that in an actual fight, or how to best utilize that for style....etc, etc. Did that make sense? I dunno... I guess what im trying to say is: If somebody knows that you can combo 3 swings together in red stance as long as the directions are connected, a whole list of combos is not necessary. Perhaps a list of the most effective combos, but every single one would be a waste of time i think. ok sorry if this didnt make any sense.

Hux- Although I understand what everyone is saying previously, I _personally_ would love to have a plate of "pre-made" combos at my disposal. After working from them for a while, I could then make better use of Exar's components list. IMHO.

But that may just be me. :)

Its just that there is a limited # of combos that are valid in the game.

I know with my old-style teachings, it would be a great reference tool to have the stances broken down into 3-5 swing combos
(like we used to have for the jman trials)

fwd,lft,lft

fwd,rght,rght

etc..
