Look at it from our point of view for a sec: When we take a padawan, we are making a serious investment of time in that person. We're probably going to be working with them over the course of months to make them as good as we can in all aspects of the game. A padawan is someone who represents their master, so knowing the attitude of your padawan is cruicial. No JAK+ will just randomly accept anyone for padawanship who simply asks, we have to see what kind of person you are. Another thing masters want to see in padawans is activeness. We don't want to make someone our padawan only to never see them again, and a large number of people who post to this board I've never seen once in our servers. I think students mistake what this thread is for. This thread doesn't put you in some list that masters go through and select padawans from. All this thread does is lets us know that you are interested or not. Then when we see you on the servers, we'll know. Hope that helps, -Tido This comment was edited by Tido on Jan 23 2005 10:51am. |

Also, we like to be able to get to know you guys before we take you on. We watch and see how you act on the servers, how your attitude is around everyone, and if we even have anything to teach you. It takes time, and effort on your part to show yourselves, for a lack of a better word, "worthy" for padawanship. And I don't mean it to sound as bad as it does. What I mean is, as padawans, you represent your master, and we don't want to take on someone who has a poor attitude and a low amount of respect for the community. Skill is not much of a factor, though it does have it's place. Also, as Ash suggested, there are far too many students looking for a master than we can handle. sup im looking for a master i have no idea about stances, so um...yeah, need work on that, i hate the single saber, can't use it at all, best on duel, started using staff for the first time like an hour ago, its great, so easy to kill with it yeah my time zone is GMT + 0:00 so yeah thanks, i only started playing this game a few weeks ago, so i might need a bit o work, so who's up for it? thank you |

I'm looking for a master. I need someone to help we with my dueling technique and to give me some pointers about dealing with lag. I use a single saber and usually use red and yellow stances. My timezone is GMT +11 so someone in a timezone near that would be good. I'm happy to have take official and un-official masters. Thank you.
