Hi ya Its BlaX and im looking for a master. I want to learn Single(All Styles) and Staff. And Duals will just be a bonus to learn =D. I think im pretty good on red stance and on Staff, but i need a lot to cover on staff also on yellow stance. I will need a master around the GMT time area as i live in the UK. Solitude and I have said this before, but it never hurts to reiterate it: Keep in mind that having a master is not the only way to learn in the JA - after all, there's a reason for the Classes List. In fact, quite often you'll learn at least as much from classes as you would from a master, simply because of the multitude of GREAT (  ) JATs who dedicate their time to helping students learn. After all, what are the chances of you finding a master who's the best in every aspect of JA? Just about nil. Plus, classes mean other students interested in the same area with whom you can converse, practice with, and bounce ideas off of.Classes and Master/Padawan relationships are both good ways to learn, but even they do not compare to the huge (and often overlooked) resources of the other students who are on the servers with you every day. I'd go out on a limb here and guess that just about any student that you might meet on the servers, if not busy due to other understandable factors, would be perfectly willing, and in quite a few cases quite enthusiastic, to provide a few tips and pointers, or even what might amount to a lesson or more, if you only ask them. I've picked up plenty of techniques simply by asking someone how they did something in a duel against me. So once again, I would encourage everyone who might post here to consider (and perhaps you already have) the other resources besides a master through which you could learn. Now, I may come off as somewhat of a hypocrite here, considering that I myself am a padawan (and 3th is definitely a great guy to have as a master! ). I'm not saying that you shouldn't look for a master - a master/padawan relationship is definitely a worthwhile experience, and quite beneficial. Just realize that it's not a necessary component of the JA experience, and you can go just as far without it. This post is aimed more at those new to the JA, who might think that having a master is a critical component of being a student, or that they will miss out on other things if they don't have a master. In fact, a master/padawan relationship is more like an "independent study" at a highschool or college - a course with only one student, the topics of discussion up to that student and the teacher overseeing it. Master/Padawan relationships are probably best used in the same way as independent studies are - to fill in the gaps that normal classes and help from other students can't handle. In the end, the decision of how you want to learn is up to you. Find what works best.Have a good one, and I hope to see you all on the servers! _______________ ~Dav Proud Former Padawan of 3th |

I'm looking for a master. I'm on GMT timezone, and am normally on around 7.00-8.30 pm GMT on Weekdays (Excluding Fridays, on which i will nromally be on until 9.30 pm) and afternoon/evening on Weekends. I am a fairly new user, but know the abilities of force powers and lightsaber skills. I use Single Sabers in a Yellow/Red Stance. I am farily good with guns. I am sensible and respectful. I'm looking for a master as well (Takes a number) I am very open at this stage of my JKA development, I currently focus on dual and single sabers, but I would love to learn staff. My force powers range, I like the dark ones for playing around with, but I recognise the power of the light ones as well. I need a master that can get on fairly often, I can make myself free pretty much every day. a quick reminder for all those who want a master I dunno if its my place to say this...but ill say it anyway to become a better saberist it is not necessary to have a master, a master is really just a friend who helps you out with his other padawans, not the be all and end all of becoming better (thats not to say that it doesnt help though )remember, the first port of call is the classes most JAK+ hold classes anyway, and you can learn the same things there. also take note of Jaiko's Class which is kinda like a paddy session and Skylers paddy session the second is to remember that you fellow students can also teach you. many have been here a long time and have very good saber skills. 1337 skills are not the reason why people are made JAK, so many of the best duellists may not actually be the JAK+. if you want to know something...ask. everyone that i can think of is happy to show you some tricks and moves if you but ask them. and finally, you can learn a lot yourself. just duel and watch others duel. treat every victory as proof that youve learnt something. and a defeat as a lesson. learn from thoses who are better than you. well, thats my two cents hope that makes sense {edit, skylers paddy session added) _______________ Joined 16 October 2004 | Retired 10 April 2005 | Returned 05 June 2008 | Made Staff 27 June 2008 | Made Council 18 January 2009 Padawan To Odan-Wei Belouve | Adopted into the Belouve family | Twin to xAnAtOs | Owner of the 4th Quesi sexy badge Brother To Roan Belouve, Nomad, Majno, Silkmonkey, Kensei and Jarhok Belouve

I am looking for a Master. As I am having +1 GMT Time zone it would be best if the Master has the same or close to it! I always use Standard Sabre, so it would be great if the Master had experience and could teach some stuff and tricks with Standard. I am an eager learner and always do my best!
