RULE TWO – All matches must have a JAK+ to Referee. If none are about go to the #jedi-academy chat room where there should be someone 24/7. The referee’s decision is final. RULE THREE – THE JA have a list of attacks that are not allowed to be use when duelling in the Tournament these are: SPINNING WIGGLING/POKING SWAYING GLIDE DELAYS EXTENSIONS RULE FOUR- Make contact ASAP (See Below)* RULE FIVE - Complete the duels in the prescribed order (see round details above) RULE SIX – If you don’t Duel you opponent it is down to the JAK+’s desecration who proceeds (See below)* RESULTS (and Demos if you can host them somewhere) posted by the Defeated opponent.. CONTACTING YOUR OPPONENT *Please Post the times you are about on your opponents Profile and/or get on MSN etc or iRC and try to agree a mutual time. If a time is agreed make sure you are talking about the same time-zone. J If you fail to duel the JAK+ will decide who has made the most effort and tried to be available and if we see fit give a bye if the deadline has passed. THERE IS NO GURANTEES WE MAY JUST DISQ BOTH. You signed up so I would expect you to be ready to get on a duel

Only this time, Roan made them very clear to everyone and in advance, so that you know what you're getting yourself into and to avoid any difficult situations. I guess Jaiko mentioned a little before...
But, this has been discussed in the JAK+ forums, and there were opposing views to some of these attacks being listed above. However, it seems the majority of the JAK+ and the JAC in particular don't want to see extensions and glide delays to be allowed. That list isn't meant to be an exploits list. Extensions aren't exploits, but some don't want them to be used in the tournament in which the JA will be furnishing prizes for. This is partly due to the fact that some have the opinion that extensions can cause unintentional pokes [ask a JAK+ or JAC for further details on this in private]. Glide delays to some are exploits, to others are not. If you really want to discuss this, you should talk privately with the JAC. Roan wanted to make this list so that we wouldn't have a problem when we got down to the finals like last year. Roan was rather depressed and aggravated with the end of the tournament last year and wants this one to go well. almost every defensive and offensive swing/move/whatever can cause damage to opponent under right circumstances. so really what is an attack?

sorry about that.
i think there are loads of ways around these rules though. lets say... glide delays... well i use them a lot when i fight... not neccesarily to hit the opponent but as a fake move. now if i use it to fake but not to actually hit opponent its not counted as attack thus its not against the rule which only mentions 'types of attacks'. lol nvm _______________ playing jk3 since 30th of january (2005), member since 1st of february. Guys, although i can appreciate your comments. Roan and the JAK+ are putting alot of effort in to run events such as the tourney. Now, you may not agree with the rules on which the tournement is based. In which case simply dont enter. However, to openly contest their oppinion is somewhat rude.
The rules have been stated since the beginning, if you would suggest that in future we also hold a "no swings barred" tournement as well, then such a n event can be arranged and again...would be made very clear at the beginning.
