Are you and Solitude keeping tabs? I am writing one, as I told Sol it's really, really, really long. If indeed I am taking too long, take me off the staff, and I'll write as a guest. With work, a house move, and a rather hectic social life, my time is rather stretched at present. I haven't forgotten, but my computer has been unfortunately neglected recently, and I fear it will be for some time yet.
I may also ask you, with "friendly reminders" being announced recently are you still interested in upholding the rules on the servers? As the only active ranked members I regularly see are Jaina, Lok and Xanatos, with FM, Dash and Laz popping on occasionally do to their classes. I don't have a particular article in mind which would cause a problem, but it seems logical to form a few boundaries. I know that TJA sure hates it when forum topics pop up relating to the rules of the academy. It would just be nice to know what the restrictions are. So fullfilling these needs in capitalism system, It means that you need to earn money... and human's nature is to really ensure that he can fill those needs... (It isn't about greed...) For this example, Humanity sciences becomes more expensive, because there isn't high demand for low paid sciences due to 'big cash' sciences are stealing the attention from 'low cash' sciences, which usually have something to do with humanity... they need to pay material causes with something and I can tell you something like high culture art and music, their researching and discovering, It isn't just any kind of cheap stuff... I can think just one career; philosophy, which could be quite cheap... and people who would like to study different sciences of humanity for cheer information, It isn't just worth of it, anymore... For example, Did Leonardo Da Vinci thought of money when he created Mona Lisa, no he did it just for cheer of discovering smile of the woman? and we need this kind of crazyness/brilliantness to evolve and we need to discover this kind of crazyness/brilliantness to evolve! PRKL! Money is something what makes people to become machines...

I am more than the wife of my husband, I am also his closest adviser. If Fortuna had a hand in my becoming empress then she had smiled upon the citizens of Rome and my husband, not myself.
I have no intention of forgetting the culture and traditions of my children, but change is key for the survival of Rome. Too long have we let the ideas of old men dictate how we think and angry gods control how we live. The citizens might be uneasy of this at first, but I am confident that they will accept my word. If we do not change then Rome will not last. We live in a glorious civilization, citizen, and I will not see it tumble into obscurity as time goes on. I want my children to be proud of Rome, not because of our power or military conquests, but because they were given the choice to do so. The gods will accept what my eyes see and they will not turn their back on us. If they extinguish my life then they will see another take my place with the same ideals. If my children reject my ideals then I have stabbed them in the back and failed. I will expect no less in return. If they fully accept my ideology then I will ensure the lasting life of Rome. nah... I might be a bit emotional due to I'm so sick and tired of this whole thing, what's happening at here in finland...
Situation is really that bad at here in finland... Finland as small country as It is with 5 million people... They try to do everything with 'big' world style and failing at it without question... eg. merged budget thinking, taking a lot of immigrants for cheap job business, privatizing essential services... etc This causes more misery for poverty; immigrants, students, unemployees, small entrepreneurs and non regular workers... They have started to privatize our uni/academy system, which basically means only business science-spheres and natural sciences are going to survive. Social and society, art sciences, which are basically discovering the humanity, will loose this gauntlet... and then they are thinking that why we are having school shootings, oh oh, I'm taking back it, they actually like it, because now we are like USA! Everything all due to our goverment thoughts that capitalism and new liberalism is something cool and neat, which brings more freedom... It brings freedom for riches, ofcourse... We are forest people and from forest we have always lived, hunting, fishing, harvesting berries and grain. And due to we have survived under extreme circumstance, our mind has been open for new kind of techniques and technology at all categorizes.... Be very careful what words you choose, citizen, my patience wears thin.
I do not need to be a scholar to see what is put before us. The gods wish us to believe in them, worship them. To what ends, though? If the gods were so powerful then they would simply snuff out the existence of every barbaric heathen instead of watch my armies decimate them. It is not arrogance to say the gods exist because we exist. We are their purpose as they are our purpose. This is simply how it is and if we decided not to believe in such gods then they will fade in eternity. I am not using facts from the so called ancients, but merely my own ideology. In matters of gods & men, that is all that one can do. We either follow the ideas of one or make our own ideas. My children will see the gods as they wish and not the way old men wish them to. I view mankind as its own masters and not subjects of any sort of deity. The gods may be able to influence our lives and perhaps end our lives, but they do so with caution. They realize that we are their purpose as much as our purpose was bestowed upon us by them. You see, my dear citizen, the gods require our attention and we require theirs. Are we slaves to the sun because it gives us life or is the sun slaves to us because it has no purpose without us? The citizens of Rome, my children, will realize this spiritual contract even if it costs my own life! We depend on the gods as the gods depend on us. We are masters of our own life as the gods are masters of theirs. If the gods wish to continue their existance, then they will embrace us as kin rather than subjects under their power. If we perish, THEY PERISH. If we live, THEY LIVE. I am sure they realize this contract and every mortal must realize it also. In order for my children to thrive, they must not be bound by chains cast down by a deity. They will work with the gods and thrive for greatness under my vigil eye. This is my ideology and the ideology of all Rome. Let the gods take my life, but I will be seen as a martyr for the idea that we are free beings. I have drastically changed the functions of the gods, citizen. I believe I am well within my right to do so because the gods themselves are product of mankind. Minerva was recently made goddess of blood-lust, petty squabble and tyranny. She is a very busy god at the moment.

While that is a very counterproductive way in motivating me to write an article, I do realize it has been almost a year since I did so. I'm not as ambitious as others here so the rank does not mean much to me. I would not cry over it and losing the distinction as staff is the last thing on my mind. That is not to say I don't care to write articles, no I enjoyed it. I have told myself many times that I would write a new article, but something always comes up. Whether it be school, my new job, my family or personal matters, I always seem to have something new on my mind. It is not an excuse, but just an explanation. I will make another article, though.
