Under no circumstances should any member of The Jedi Academy discuss Star Wars: The Old Republic in the presence of Masta.
One dark night, Masta was raped by Star Wars: The Old Republic. But it didn't stop there. SW:TOR proceeded to rape Masta's mother, and the family dog. Upon finishing this heinous act, SW:TOR drank some milk from Masta's fridge and left the carton on the counter. These atrocities left wounds in Masta's psyche that will never truly be healed. Be very careful what words you choose, citizen, my patience wears thin.
I do not need to be a scholar to see what is put before us. The gods wish us to believe in them, worship them. To what ends, though? If the gods were so powerful then they would simply snuff out the existence of every barbaric heathen instead of watch my armies decimate them. It is not arrogance to say the gods exist because we exist. We are their purpose as they are our purpose. This is simply how it is and if we decided not to believe in such gods then they will fade in eternity. I am not using facts from the so called ancients, but merely my own ideology. In matters of gods & men, that is all that one can do. We either follow the ideas of one or make our own ideas. My children will see the gods as they wish and not the way old men wish them to. I view mankind as its own masters and not subjects of any sort of deity. The gods may be able to influence our lives and perhaps end our lives, but they do so with caution. They realize that we are their purpose as much as our purpose was bestowed upon us by them. You see, my dear citizen, the gods require our attention and we require theirs. Are we slaves to the sun because it gives us life or is the sun slaves to us because it has no purpose without us? The citizens of Rome, my children, will realize this spiritual contract even if it costs my own life! We depend on the gods as the gods depend on us. We are masters of our own life as the gods are masters of theirs. If the gods wish to continue their existance, then they will embrace us as kin rather than subjects under their power. If we perish, THEY PERISH. If we live, THEY LIVE. I am sure they realize this contract and every mortal must realize it also. In order for my children to thrive, they must not be bound by chains cast down by a deity. They will work with the gods and thrive for greatness under my vigil eye. This is my ideology and the ideology of all Rome. Let the gods take my life, but I will be seen as a martyr for the idea that we are free beings. I have drastically changed the functions of the gods, citizen. I believe I am well within my right to do so because the gods themselves are product of mankind. Minerva was recently made goddess of blood-lust, petty squabble and tyranny. She is a very busy god at the moment.
Perhaps I shall make sacrifice to Venus, goddess of dignity, chastity and monotheism. Her temple always seems to be empty so I shall not have to deal with the crowd of plebeians. Back to your work, citizen! _______________ "Deos fortioribus adesse." |

While that is a very counterproductive way in motivating me to write an article, I do realize it has been almost a year since I did so. I'm not as ambitious as others here so the rank does not mean much to me. I would not cry over it and losing the distinction as staff is the last thing on my mind. That is not to say I don't care to write articles, no I enjoyed it. I have told myself many times that I would write a new article, but something always comes up. Whether it be school, my new job, my family or personal matters, I always seem to have something new on my mind. It is not an excuse, but just an explanation. I will make another article, though. Nice speech, it really inspired me lol. I played L4D2 but not in co-op mode though. Just gave it a try on Single Player to see what it's like. It seems pretty fun to play with friends and it's not that hard to survive ... one just needs a small amount of tactic inspiration to kill them ugly zombies.
Anyway, I will buy it as soon as my brother gives me his credit card, that should Sunday! Be prepared for my arrival :drums: |

Yes this is exactly why I'm using the concept of philosophy on people, who are unmitigated with their opinions... And yes long time ago, maybe Lirael or you, somebody suggested me to read wittgenstein... But I came to conlusion after few pages; Rather I read Alice In Wonderland... Wittgenstein greatest mistake was to born in western side... He would have been happy in eastern side, especially in Zen Sanctuary...
Western people biggest problem is that they try to live with reason so they taught their children to live with reason... and Wittgenstein biggest problem is that he's searching a reason and thinking the nature of reason... and this is also why I love communism, Communism doesn't try to find reason, It just suggest how you manage to live your life with other people... Capitalism gives a reason to live and It is money, Because It gives a reason, I hate it allready, amongst other things what I hate in it...
I don't hate wittgenstein, I just pity him, his life has been needlessly hard, such a brilliant man born in wrong place, well he didn't waste it atleast... I would completely agree that Maher had interpreted the phrase differently than I had if not for one simple thing: He had used asterisks to cover up the last few letters which implies that he knew it was a curse.
Although I don't look down on people who curse, I do so myself from time to time, but it is totally out of character from the discussion we were having. Although it could be normal for him to curse in discussions and I wouldn't mind that too much, but it was blatantly out of character from all the exchanges we had. Was it an attack? Don't know, but probably not. Was it rude? I thought it was, but maybe it isn't for him. Yet I think he realized what he was saying to a certain extent.
