I'm not sure if this is SUPPOSED to be out yet, but it is... head on over to AOL's download center (AOL, bleh), and get the new Jedi Academy Demo. I haven't tried it yet, so check the comments for this news post for people to explain what's in the demo. The next phase in the Jedi Academy's history is almost here! |

Does anybody feel that the saber moves have been -pardon the expression- dumbed down a bit. You dont need to learn to string together any combos , like with staff , if you just hold attack and forward you can twirl the saber on the left and attack;etc. And i find that Red stance strikes can still get through the defense of both dual sabers and staff. Well, crazy hacker was half right, you can turn off one saber in duel saber mode, or half you staff, and according to the red deer you enter a stance that feels like red but hits leke yellow, or somethin like that, and there are no speacial moves he could find for it, so no it is not yellow, so no ydfas. But its still cool, and you still can not split a saberstaff. _______________ Using no way as way. Having no limitation as limitation. |

if u have 2 sabers, and press the style change key ur charachter turns off 1 and it goes to yellow stance i think. same 4 saber staff, the charachter turns off 1 end so u have a single in yellow(i think) stance _______________ if at first you dont succeed, try and try again. if you still dont succeed, youve just wasted a whole lot of time trying something you just cant do

I think I saw it mentioned that you could split a saberstaff into two, or turn off one of the duel sabers... If so I gotta do a bit of bubble bursting, according to lucas you cannot split a saberstaff, it just looked like that for the press, that would be to much of an advantage. So if you choose saber staff, thats what you use. As for turning of one duel saber I think I read somewhere that you could turn off one and go into like a fencing one handed style (so you don't have a choice) but don't hold me to this one. Sorry if your were looking forward to either one of these, but its better to get let down now then when you have the game, right? _______________ Using no way as way. I really would like to know when this actually comes out, i've been told the 16th 17th 18th 19th and 20th.....grrrrrrr the lucasarts website says the 17th but the store i just ordered the game from says that there shipmint of the game is supposed to come in the 16th....grrrrrr what is going on????? _______________ Dicemaster |

One little thing I thought was cool is when you kill a guy on a step or near a wall: In JO, when you did that, the guy would either hang over the step or his head would be sticking into the wall. In JA, the bodies are on the ground or propped up against the wall. does anyone know why this ledge has the force sense symbol on the bottom of it? i think it's pretty clear you have to jump up on it. is there some other secret i'm missing? I got that too...I don't think there is a fix for it, but mioght be some bug somewhere.
