Huxley's put a different map on the KS server for a little change of pace. It's called the Jedi Archives and you can get it here. Have fun! |

My fps went way down even when I ran it on my own local server. I think it might be the way the author made it because I have made much bigger rooms in maps and not suffered so much. It is a great map as far as layout and architecture. I would love to go into those little side rooms to duel. _______________ One of the Belouve boys |

Yeah, it does horrible with my geforce2mx, so I dont even like playing on it. I have it on the server, the server is back to Jedi Academy, and if anyone ever wants to switch to the archives, we can just do a vote on the server from one of the JATs. |

It's a nice map but yeah the fps for me is really bad. Some locations it was down to 9 and I was the only one on it. The map is awsome, but it takes too much hardware.
I get glitches if there are too much sabers on next to me and I have a TI4600. Imagine the other folks with older HW. Yeah, my FPS dropped from 90 to 30.

dudes i must critize that map. it's design and look is excellent, very jedi-like (elevators rock) but it has one problem. i have 7 fps there. really 7! and tehre were only 4 guys playing with me. a map with that size should at least have 15 for me. i think that the mapper did not use the cualk shader. for all non-mappers, it's a texture that the computer will skip showing. it's used for parts of the map you never see, like the other side of ceiling for example. if you don't use it, your comp has very much to do... and my small weak one cannot play at the map. and i know several guys with similar systems, so plz don't use it too often (or keep voting enabled for example)
