Go search for Pat McCurdy songs, through like Kazaa or somethin'. He never fails to cheer me up. He's a Wisconsin humor singer, and I've seen him live 5 times. Great stuff, really. I have two signed CDs from him. But you will laugh. Just get his classic "Sex and Beer" if you really want a laugh. But he has other good ones. Good ol' Wisconsin humor. Hey Ulic, cheer up old buddy. If things start going down the tubes, we'll still be here for ya. Although we're just a bunch of random people scattered around the internet who will never meet in real life, we've got true community here and won't let one of our own fall. So if you need some help or if things get worse, let us know and we'll come to the rescue. I have faith. Just keep up the good spirits my friend, United should be ok... AND...I apologize for being in a crappy mood with that comment. But I'm human, and it's allowable every once and a while. And I think this is big enough to get upset over (not some little thing like losing a lightsaber...AGAIN....hehe).
I'm glad I didn't go into the servers when I was pissed. I would have anniahlated everyone and got kicked out. Ho hum. Well, the Academy is fun, so that'll make things better.
If anyone knew me in real life (or knows any pilots), my father makes plenty of money as is. So if they cut him waaaaay back (over 50% pay cut) then we're really screwed. Or if he loses his job. My father obviously has more insight to all of this, and he also lost his job with Pan Am way back when they went bankrupt. He did make it clear that United owes around 800 million, but has 1.2 billion in the bank, plus what they own. So they are filing for PROTECTION, and have a real good shot at getting back on their feet. Versus other businesses that file for Chapter 11 when they don't even have the ability to pay them back. United can pay their debt, but it would just royally screw them. So this doesn't seem as bad. So long as they get back on their feet. If you really want to help me out, just have people look at United Airlines in a good light. If people just don't like United, or don't even want to consider flying them, then they are screwed, and my family is screwed. I'm not asking everyone to fly United now, but just don't give up on them, because then you're giving up on me and a lot of other people too. I would hope I've taught you enough to not give up on people. That seems like the best idea I have now. _______________ Jedi do not fight for peace. I've never really shown a bad side, but this is where it'll show.
I have my cellphone set up to alert me with breaking news. 7:12 this morning, it goes off: United Airlines files for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. For those of you that haven't followed me, or haven't really read my 100th comment below, my father flies for United Airlines. This would screw us a bit, you think? So toss back some of that Christmas eggnog, people, for all of us just let the terrorists win. Whooo-hoooo! We cared too damn much about ourselves, that we were too ingorant of what the real problems were. A major airline declared the larget airline bancruptcy ever. So they won because we just didn't give a damn. And what I have to say is: how is my family NOT a victim of September 11th? You give money to some 23-yr-old girl who worked in a coffee shop on the 42nd floor of the WTC, who lost her job because the toweres fell. She is able, but will never have to work again. So where's OUR f%(#ing money? I'll probably need to give up my apartment, and my cable modem first. So that means, thanks, I'm a Knight, but you won't see me again. $h1t, I might not even get to do my final semesters of college. We run a decent risk of not getting enough to keep our house. OK, so I lost my saber and got knocked off the pillar in the pillar room. Because I couldn't get my saber back, I couldn't get back on the pillar. Because I couldn't get back on the pillar, I couldn't get may saber back.
So I'm running around on the floor with not only 2 JATs and 2 JACs watching, but a bunch of invited spectators as well. And I can only hop, because I have NO force. So here's a wanna-be knight, hopping around with his hand out, going "Dude, Where's my Hilt?" Rolling on the floor yet? So I kill myself and come back. Rematch. Fight decent, but not real well. Push Aayla off of pillar, jump down to attack her there. Only in midair, I realize I have 4 hp. With confusion, I didn't even roll. Splat. On the other hand, I pushed Silent and Aayla around in a 2-on-1 FF match. Aayla got the DFA from our beloved council member. Guess it's happened more than once. So moral of story...train hard, and you too can be a goofball...I mean JAK/JAT/JAK Am I going to get sillier the more I advance?
