Hey guys and gals, sorry i've been absent lately. I'm in the midst of some computer problems, mainly being i seem to have a knack for buying defective parts. Anyway, I'd like to congratulate everyone who's been promoted to Learner so far... I'm proud of every single one of you, even JJ. Along the same lines, a few of you have mentioned that it's hard to find JATs around at times... Well as you all might know, we also have a Knight (he was an old JIT)... His name is Dicemaster and I've given him my permission to participate it Learner trials, so more people can take the trials. You still need to find one other JAT to participate in the trial, and since he's just a Knight, if Dice and the JAT disagree on pass or fail, the JAT's decision stands. But hopefully this will expedite the process. Oh, and Journeyman trials will be set up as soon as my computer returns to normal functioning (whenever that is).

Hey gang. I wish I could say why the site went down. We have plans to move the site to a more stable providor so hopefully this won't happen again. But anyways it looks like we're back in black and on the attack, so get back to class kids.
Edit: Aristotle posted what was going on with the site downtime. Everything is explained here. Hmm maybe we wont need to switch now.

The JAC's have been working out a trial process to get you folks promoted. The only one set in stone right now is the 1st rank (the Learner rank).
Earning the rank of Learner proves that you know basic knowledge of the game, the Jedi Academy, and a small amount of dueling strategy. Most of you I'm sure will pass this with your eyes closed, so don't worry. It won't be near this easy for Journeyman or Knight.
Here are the criteria for earning the rank of Learner:
Demonstrate your ability to perform the following moves:
(Note, I've added these descriptions, taken from Shadow Warrior's comment, to help clarify the moves)
- DFA (red style special move)
- Yellow Finisher (yellow style special move)
- The Lunge (blue style special move)
- A backspin (red or yellow backstab)
- A backstab (blue style backstab)
- A front kick
- A side kick
- Wall-walking
You must duel a JAT in the stance you're most comfortable with and have another JAT witness it. These JAT's will ask you a very small amount of simple questions about dueling strategy and the Jedi Academy. If the JAT's trialing you approve you for the rank of Learner they'll let one the Council members know to make the rank change official. Please post any questions you may have to this post.
Like I said this rank is a simple one, merely to make sure you have a grip on basic moves and tactics. The hard stuff will come later for you ambitious folks. Good luck to you all!
