Just to clear up a few things... since Knights get limited access powers to help keep the peace there are quite a few things we look at when marking a Journeyman as Knight eligible. We nominate those that we are positive are responsible and respectable. Skill comes in a distant second on this aspect of Knighthood. We don't nominate people who we know are distespectful. We also don't nominate people we don't know. This isn't an overnight thing. It will take some time for us to get to know you (and for you to know us). We only nominate those we are absoluetely sure of in terms of resolve and maturity to handle their new responsibilities. To re-iterate: we don't nominate people we don't know or don't know well.

One of our instructors DaMaGe is looking for someone to help him make a site for the UT2003 community. He's looking for a PHP/MySQL solution. I'd help him out, but school and the JA take up roughly 30 hours a day for me. About 1/2 of the applicants I've accepted show that you guys do web design/coding/IT whatever, so go help him out!

Howdy folks! The four words you've been waiting for are here: Knight trials are open! You must be reccomended for a Knight position by an Instructor or Council member before you can take any tests. People get reccomended based on their attitude. This means that those that act poorly on the server, attack without warning, etc will not be eligible for Knighthood while the ones that are well behaved, encouraging, and well disciplined will be. We've designed the test and trial for Knighthood to be rather difficult. For those of you groaning in the back row please keep in mind this is a school. You're here to learn, and the rank you earn should reflect what you know and have learned. If you can't answer a question on the trial test that should be a hint to practice more and take more classes!
Lately we've been getting many reports about a lax of respect on the servers. We have a few solutions for that:
- Alot of this misbehaving comes from the Instructors themselves misbehaving. We've given them 150 lashes each and told them to behave. So no more of this "but the JAT does it too" stuff.
- The Academy is completely clan independent. You can have pride in your clan and wear your clan tags in your name on the server, but please check your clan ego's in at the door. Save your clan related energy for your clan matches. Here at the Academy we're all friends.
- The Instructors have been given a little more leeway in the ability to temporarily ban troublemakers from the servers. Hopefully this will curb more bad behaviour. I also gave the JAT's warning about admin abusals. If you think you're bieng mishandled by a JAT mine and the other Council members' doors are open.
- The Knight position is not open to rule breakers and rude persons. Hopefully you nogoodnicks will shape up if you want to advance.
Other things we've noticed are alot of students rushing to get trials when they clearly aren't ready for them. If you have any doubts about your ability to pass a trial or answer an exam question then please save us the trouble of having to trial you. Again this is a school. Take classes and learn stuff before you try to prove what you know to us.

This historic day will be remembered as the first finishing of a Jedi Academy Tournament. Today in an epic battle for the Championship, ShadowSith was victorious against Muffin-Man. He as a result of winning the tournament has earned the prize and Rank of Knight and the Gold Medal. Muffin-Man Faught very well and earned the Silver medal. Please Congradulate both of them in person or leaving a comment under their profile. They Have earned it. I myself will take a 4 day break for Thanksgiving Weekend but will be on IRC. EVERYONE did a great job at the Tournament and Im proud of everyone who participated and faught hard. Until the next Tournament... May the Force be with you!!
P.S. - I would also like to give my THANKS and GREAT Appreciation to Huxley, Zero, and All the JATs that went out of their way to help me with this. I COULD NOT have done this without you. I Thank you all very much and I wish EVERYONE a Happy Thanksgiving!

I'd like to direct everyone's attention to the Look At My Monkey forums. Those crazy primates have decided to put together a forum that we can use until DJ finishes the in-site forums. Everyone go check them out, they're pretty good... and vote in the poll they have too, i'm curious to see the results.
In other news, I'd like to wish ShadowSith and Muffin Man luck today in the finals of the Thanksgiving/Anniversary tournament. I won't be able to attend due to real life concerns (more on that in a minute), but I'm sure that they'll put on a sweet battle. Oh, and can I ask for a volunteer to record a demo of the proceedings? If you're interested but don't know how to do demos, ask around, some people know how
Also, I'll be gone (for the most part) from this afternoon until Monday night since I'll be going home from school for Thanksgiving. Who knows though, you may see me hop on DJ's server with a 0 ping (aka at his apartment).

Ladies And Gentlemen. The Second half of the Division Finals is over. ShadowSith and NofrikinFun faught today in what was a great Battle. ShadowSith was victorious however and will Be here tommorow, Wednesday the 27 at 10PM EST on [ks] to Battle for the Championship against Muffin-Man in the Jedi Academy V.2 Map. I Invite everyone there for the Closing ceremonies and to View the Epic Battle of the FINAL DUEL. See you all there!
