Ladies and gentlemen, Jedi and droids, please pat the backs of our newest knights here in the Jedi Academy, Johnny-Rico, Charon and CoRRuPTioN ! Each of these knights will perform their duties well, and deserve to be called Knights ! Give them congradulations and spankings when you see them ! :)

Leavin' on a jet plane - - Jan 31 11:13am -33 comments-
Welp guys, i've been scarce lately. Why ? Real life. It's been hectic, so i'm going to be gone for a good while. There is alot of things in real life that I need to get into order, and when things are smoother in my life, i'll return ! Until next time, I enlist Tiamat to supply the beer, and DJ to supply the Mari..cigars ;)

Until next time, my friends ! Beer ! Metal ! Satan !

Enemy U-boats, Port side! -doobie- Jan 30 12:21pm -5 comments-
FYI, for those of you who haven't been able to get on the UK server (which I hear is getting fantastic reviews), the port has changed. Not the IP address, but the port (5 digits starting with 2). So update your server favorites and invade the British Isles once again!

1 more Instructor for ya! -DJ Sith- Jan 29 06:36pm -37 comments-

Well that was fun -DJ Sith- Jan 27 07:30pm -22 comments-
It looks like we're back up. Apparently much of the LF Network was affected. I can't tell you exactly what happened to the site, but we are working to make sure this won't happen again. Expect big changes. :) Stay tuned, true believers!

Another Knight.... - - Jan 26 12:06pm -23 comments-
Ladies and gents, please extend your congradulations to another new, hard working Knight, Bubu ! Bubu worked very hard to become a Knight, so pat him on the back next time you see him !

New JA Server in the UK...w00t! -cHoSeN oNe- Jan 25 03:58pm -22 comments-
Thats right folks! CoRRUPTioN has offered his helping hand into donating a [RO] UK Server for the JA. Server is located in the UK, so it should be blazing fast for those that live there :P Enjoy!!!

edit by DJ: This server is donated by a UK hosting company called Reactor Overload. They provide web, game, and DNS hosting. MANY MANY thanks to them for this. All of you in the UK need to buy some of their stuff.

A New Knight ! - - Jan 24 04:32pm -17 comments-
Gents and germs, give it up for our newest Knight of the Jedi Academy, Arca! Arca impressed us all in his trial, even with the few interruptions we had. Congradulations, Arca!

JK3 perhaps? -doobie- Jan 24 09:31am -12 comments-
Allow me to blatantly rip this from Our lovely hosts, jk3.net:

"HomeLan Fed seems to have obtained the first evidence that an expansion is planned for Jedi Knight II. Until LucasArts makes an announcement though this is in no way guaranteed, but it does seem likely. You can listen to the conference call on Activision's web site. Our thanks goes out to Mixnmojo for the news.

... Execs at the company mentioned in passing that a sequel to last year's Quake III engine powered first person shooter Star Wars: Jedi Outcast was in the works to be released in their fiscal 2004 time frame (April 2003-March 2004). Since this was mentioned in an Activision conference call, it suggests that the sequel will once again be a collaboration between Activision and LucasArts. HomeLAN contacted original Jedi Outcast developer Raven Software (which is owned by Activision) but was refered to Activision's corporate offices for an official response. The Activision rep has so far not gotten back to us with a statement. A spokesperson for LucasArts would not comment on what the Activision execs said today when asked by HomeLAN."

I guess the Academy may need to stick around for a pretty damn long time :)

More site updates. -DJ Sith- Jan 24 01:09am -26 comments-
Hey all. 2 big things done to the site..

1) There's a new about us page. It's got a few requested additions and I changed the wording to sound a little less "harsh" and describe us more.

2) I ran an inactivity clearing script. All users that the database thinks is inactive (or hasn't accessed the site since 12/15/2002) are now disabled. If you're getting login errors or it says you're account is disabled leave a comment on this post...

...

...

Hahah just kidding. :D Email a JAC and we'll get your account turned back on. Keep the faith!
