Here's some news from the Galaxies Academy team:
We (Freedon, Exar and Ulic Qel-Droma) have constructed a site (http://www.swg-academy.tk) for the SWG academy group. It's still under construction off course, and We think it will be till Galaxies comes out, but for now people can apply, but it's for academy members only. Well I'm back, after British Telecom decided to be complete ******** and cut me off for ages. Just to say I'm sorry to see Avalon leave, and good luck with your pyshcological stuff (thats what i'm planning on doing).
Also, thanks to the Lord of the Rings game on GC, i managed to add another broken metacarpal to add to my current list. I won't be on the servers much now because of it, as that game has broken my thumb (funny story actually  ) and I fell down the stairs and broke like 4 fingers  .
Eh, Its all in good fun . |

In June of 2002, I joined the JA with the hopes of becoming a better player. Almost a year has passed and I've come out a better person.
My college has given me the chance to graduate with honors in psychology and are willing to help me ,with several other students, to get my Doctorate in Psychology. I took a job with a local child care clinic and have been putting in double effort to keep myself where I am. This is why I haven't been on for some time. The JA has been my second home. My shelter from the winds of war in the world and in my personal life. I stepped onto the servers hoping to be a better player, and coming out a better person. The JA made me believe in myself, and in my abilities. Without everyone here, I wouldn't be where I am. So it is painful for me to announce that I am leaving the JA. I thank everyone who has helped me. DJ for your guidance, Doobs for your Leadership, Silent for our duels, Huxley for your dedication, and to Everyone for your friendship. This isn't just a school for playing a game, it's a community. I enjoyed my duration here and will never forget you all.... and Always remember, The Force Will be with you.....Always! |

I've noticed it's gotten really quiet around here.. No news... So I decided to say hello to everyone... In all my years, I have never been at a more awesome place then this.... Well other than a Quake 2 Mod I play (Vortex: www.planetquake.com/vortex), This is something truely amazing, so take a second to post some thanks to everyone who has made something like this possible... massadoobie... Due to circumstances beyond our control we've had to close off the KS Main and KS Classes servers. The CTF server has been converted to the new classes server, and the Facility server has been converted to our new home server. All classes have been transferred over to the new classes server. 3 of Jacen Solo's open sessions had to be cancelled due to overlaps. My apologies for that. Update your favorites, everyone! We're on the lookout for more servers again I guess. We have a line on a possible new one, so hold fast, true beleivers!

Woohah! cHoSeN oNe's Jedi Academy Mod 1.1 is the featured mod over at jk2files.com! Excellent work sir! I'm glad the folks out there like our stuff. Hopefully this will give the Academy some good puiblicity as well. |

Jumpin Jedi has annouced that he is working on a Capture the Flag map for the academy, which is due out in the summer. Here is a list of the features:
¬ Two Enclosed Bases ¬ An Armoury ¬ Medical Centre ¬ Command Centre ¬ Pillboxes and Trenches ¬ The overall feel of the academy (bah, who needs that?  )
