As I'm sure you all know some of our students have created JA teams for game modes such as Hydroball or Siege. In order to keep these initiatives organized, working together and within the Academy spirit we have decided to create the JA's Athletic department. This department will be managed by two of our finest trainers, Dark Blade and Luke Skywalker. Their job will not be to directly manage the teams, that's the teams Captains/Responsable job. Just like it is at the moment. Their job will be to make sure that our teams act according to our rules when playing outside the Academy (without cheating, swearing, etc.), that the team tryouts and selection is done fairly to any student willing to participate, and things like that. So if you have a project for a JA team please take it to these 2 gentleman. Go Arouchs!!!! |

Still having no SDK for JK:JA, I have decided to go ahead and recruit some people who want to be a part of it. Here is what I need on the team: -IRC Scripter, familliar with q3 engine commands. -Website designer/coder. -Beta Testers (however only our servers will contain the mod to prevent any early release leaks) -Anyone good/excellent with Perl or Python (this is particularly for server tools) Please head over to these gamingforums or JA Reloaded forums and leave a message under the Team Members thread in General Discussion or send me an e-mail with an example of your work and some info about you to chosenone@thejediacademy.net. The response to the "Pledge Drive" has been better than expected. We've recieved about $200 so far which brings us in spitting distance of our goal. What's so awesome about this is these are all coming in $20-$50 increments. You people rule. |

That's right. Starting this Monday JK3 classes are officially open. The 1st couple of trainers with cleared classes are Luke Skywalker and NofrikinfuN. Classes will be authorized one by one pending our approval, so expect more of them very soon. Until we get an official JA Map for JK3 I've picked a temporary one. It's called "Eternal lair of Ragnos' disciples" and you will need it to attend classes. Please follow the link on the JK3 class server. Enjoy the learning. |
