Yes, hell has frozen over. Student applications are FINALLY open. Just click the "Sign Up" link to the left and choose "student" (don't waste your time with "staff", it won't submit) or click here.
Please note that it's gonna take some time for me to deal with all the applications, since I have to do it all by hand. And also note that classes won't actually begin until the map is 100% done (which hopefully will be this weekend) and we can post it for the public. Once I receive your application, I'll send details on how everything will work, and once we get closer to classes starting (aka the map being done) I'll put detailed instructions on the site on how everything works. Between this and the World Cup knockout round, I'm pretty much screwed on sleep for the next few days and weeks  |

I need to warn you in advance though... this channel is for controlled conversations about the game (techniques, classes, etc.) with the occasional off-topic conversation allowed. That means if you're gonna be a pest, flaming people or causing any sort of mayhem, you will get kicked first, then banned, no questions asked. In other news, the Academy map is done, and we're working on a major announcement regarding servers. Don't you just hate when people hint at stuff but keep you waiting? |

Our trainer count is around 20 now, which rather sufficient we feel. Thanks to those that applied & our apologies to the group that didn't get tested yet. I've got a few site things left to do around here & then we'll be able to accept students! Huzzah! |

First off, thanks for the response to the trainer apps... I gotta get my butt in gear on these applications...
Anyone out there with an extra fast machine with a fast connection around? preferably in Europe? if so we need your help. Currently our server is located in Dallas, TX, USA... and will stay there. however we've underestimated the amount of European players (typical American, heh  ), and therefore need a server based in Europe.
However, just cause you have a server in North America or Australia, don't hesitate to let me know. I have a funny feeling that even two servers won't be enough. So basically, anyone have a server you want to offer us? We don't care where it's based, but we need a European one most. -massadoobie Academy Leader, Jedi Academy |

We got our very own news post on jediknightii.net, so I guess we must be open for business now. I understand that we're getting boatloads of trainer applications now. Everyone that applied will get tested, rest assured.
As for forums I'm working out a discussion system to put on the site by hand. It'll be a series of news/user/class comments (like the comments on the news at jediknightii.net). Stay tuned! |

Ok, i've had a few questions from people interested in the Academy, mainly from people on this forum thread (aka the thread from hell)...
We will teach both darkside and lightside... we do not discriminate (however read the about us page, there are ways we discriminate...
We're working on getting a forum, more on that when i actually start working on getting a forum... and it probably won't be on lucasforums, since those are down a lot. We're getting close to accepting students, but not just yet... however if you try out to be a trainer but do not get accepted we will ask you if you'd like to be a student, and sign you up. you will be able to choose your own path through the academy. instead of a master-padawan system, we will allow students to sign up for any class that a trainer is offering. however you will be free to ask (politely) if one of the trainers will be your master and teach you one on one... unfortunately, unless the server is free and you get in touch with me or dj sith, we will be unable to provide the server for individual lessons. |

Ok, the only people hitting this site right now should be trainers... so when you guys see this, here's some things for you to do... 1) respond to my email so i know you're amongst the living (lando and lr2k3 are alive) 2) log in and CHANGE YOUR PASSWORD 3) send me or dj sith your screenshot... it can be whatever you want, don't make it too big, and we'd prefer an in-game shot, but if that won't work, we understand (just look at mine) 4) remember to add [JAT] to the end of your in-game names. the only exceptions are when you're doing something that's part of a clan 5) make sure your info is all correct, make sure i have you listed as training what you can really train (be honest here) 6) keep practicing, we're within days of opening up for students |
