Newtons Laws of Motion

These are the topics recently covered in my theory class.

1st Law of Motion, First Part:
Objects that stationary tend to stay that way, unless affected by an unbalenced force. (Such as if you were standing on a door (that had a time delay) and if it were to open fast, your inertia would remain unaffected.

First Law of Motion, Second Part:
Objects that are moving tend to stay in the same direction unless affected by an unbalenced force. This is represented in Jedi Outcast by puching and pulling a person (More than once in the air) or pushing away an rocket or anything else. Deflection of an energy shot off an saber also applys.

Second Law, First Part:
Force=Mass x Acceleration.
This law rarely, if at all comes into play in Jedi Outcast, each model has an equal ammount of weight. We could not come up with an example so, the second law becomes Force=Null.

Third Law, First Part:
For every action, there is an EQUAL and OPPOSITE reaction. This comes into play in every game ever created. If you get hit, you take damage. As for the opposite reaction, if a person is to use persuasion, they would turn invisible, but if the opposing play is to use sight, the opposite reaction would take place.

This is very vague, as this is new to students and such. I hope it helps somewhat... Just thought people would like to know the reasons behind everything in the engine

Anyone ever rocket jumped in Quake3a? Great when you go the boost pads and just before you hit it you fire a rocket and hit the jump button.

I must not fear . Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear . I will permit it to pass over me and through me. Density does not play a factor in Jedi Outcast, and mass rarely comes into play deathmatch wise... Items and players are about the only thing... It's still in consideration

An interesting application of the property now referred to as Force=NULL would be the difference between being struck by a small force-pushed object and a large force-pushed object. The force, and therefore the damage, should be greater for the object with the greater mass. Density should also be considered, if you'd like to create overkill. :D

The class is not coding, or I would of named it that... It's more of putting the game engine to scientific terms so you know what's going on and like figure out new tricks
