What a Jedi means to everybody ?

Does it mean ultimate good ? Wise-beings ? Lightsaber users ? Force users ? Something cool ?
Are they better than Sith ?

Why would I agree with them either? After all they're the ones who blow up Grievous and made him a cyborge then blamed the Jedi for it, tried to wipe out the Lurmen, and they've killed their own people. To be fully honest, the only things I have against the Republic and the Jedi is Chancellor Palpatine and anything involving Grievous and the Kaleesh.

Kit Fisto and General Grievous are also my favorite characters of them all.

A Jedi is someone who tries to do what is right for the good of the galaxy. They are the sworn protecters of the Republic. The care for the lives around them more than they do their own. A Jedi isn't perfect though. They, along with the Republic, have rushed in the middle of someone else's war before without even thinking to get the stories of both sides, such as The Huk War between the Yam'rii and the Kaleesh. As much as I believe that the Jedi are honorable and selfless, I know they can have thier faults as well.

They are not better than the Sith. I mean, both kill people, and somethings the Sith say, just seem RIGHT somehow..

Personally I think about Peace and Serenity when I hear the word "Jedi". And ofcourse, the JA :D

no, no slap this time, i agree with you.
however by calling someone else hypocrit, you kinda become one as well. silly isnt it?

so its sort pointless to call someone hyprocite. almost the same as saying 'hey look he has two legs'.

But still that slap ? It is same do you agree or disagree with me :D

But yeah you have a good point... dang!

I need that slap!

Sith Capitalism... brilliant haha. :P

It depends on the Jedi philosophy being examined. While most are very similar there are subtle differences between 'eras' (such as the no attachments rule) which greatly alter how they are percieved.

My idea of a 'Jedi Knight' is perhaps more influenced by the word 'Knight' than anything; and even then that is a fantasised idea of what a Knight is. I picture them as people who are not bound by a government or politics, but rather to a code, one that has them standing up for what is right and giving a voice to those who will not be heard.

They are both mysterious and well known, wise and yet powerful. I also often think of Jedi as solitary beings, although I personally support the idea of them allowing attachment, in fact I believe some portrayals of them are too seperated from emotion - it should be controlled not completely devoid.

A true Jedi Knight should not be bound to any council, they should do what they think is right, for the correct reasons, and allow the Force itself to guide them.

Sometimes that can be considered 'grey' thinking, however I see it as not blindly following orders or a pre-established ideology without challenge. I like the idea that each Jedi experiences the Force in different ways, it makes it an much more personal experience.

Three Jedi that epitomise my view of the Jedi are: Zayne Carrick (obscure one for some), Qui-Gon (and Obi-Wan to a lesser extent), and Jolee Bindo. Who is awesome. :D

Evil communists who attempt to thwart the richous Sith and their capitalist government. True power stems from our veins as we slaughter the Jedi and spread the freedom of private ownership! They may seem in the lead, but it is only because we throw them off guard and wait for an opportunity to strike! It is not surprising that it takes an army of communist Jedi to strike down a single Sith of noble upbringings.

*spits on a Jedi poster* It is we, the Sith, the true presance of virtue in the universe which is to be embraced! Turn away from the Jedi ways, my fellow patriots, lest you wish to wait in line for your daily rations! ALL HAIL SITH CAPITALISM!
