Title explains it all, how did you discover starwars, and how did you feel? I persoanly saw the original saga from the age of 5 or so, but i didnt really find it that intresting tll episode 1 (I guess seeing em in the cinema gives you a kickstart) After which i re-watched the original trilogy, loved it since then!

I really don't know. my dad rented then but we watched them in the wrong order (yes I know it sounds stupid). last February was when I really got into star wars and now here I am, quoting star wars guides and pwning newbs on ja+ MP. Star Wars FTW _______________ none |

Anyway, I remember it clear as day. It was 1996, and I was at school waiting for the teacher to show up. My friend came over and said, "Carve, do you know what a TIE Fighter is?" and I said "Uhhh... someone who fights ties?" Then he whipped out the Star Wars Guide to Vehicles and I was so hooked it wasn't even funny. Oh yeah, and thanks to whoever it was that reminded me of Rebel Assault! Here's a link to the wiki. Erm, had seen parts of the movies... never actually bothered to PROPERLY watch them and besides that I blame my mate for getting me into JK2 and then JKA followed on from that lol.

So thats my life. mines similar to that except not to that level, i never dressed up, my dad introduced me to the first starwars movies from before i could walk, after that i got a couple of SW games and toys and its built up from their with games like Jedi Academy through highschool

Family thing... Father was into it. and then I got into it, I was actually very young getting into it my father used to take me out in costume during Halloween with him as his padawon so I felt very guilted at that age but now im kinda happy about it I have most of all the collections and even the outfit my father still pulls me to star wars conventions now and then. I got the original trilogy for Christmas from my aunt. I was 7 or 8.

Around the time Episode 1 came out, I thought it was super gay, but I wanted to watch the originals to be able to understand Episode 1 once I saw it, and I did, and after I walked out of EP 1, I thought it was fucking awesome. Was at an overnighter as a kid and we played Rebel Assault for many hours. I thought it was cool, and then my dad took me through all the Star Wars films on VHS.
I had seen Star Wars before, but only in passing. This time, I was hooked. Then I made friends with a guy who had nearly everything Star-wars related (They had 2 whole rooms dedicated to the stuff). They had tons of RPG books, Star Wars books, that I borrowed and read, so then I was hooked, and went from there. _______________ Jedi do not fight for peace. I'm not sure if I am into Star Wars, but I do enjoy the first trilogy (in the 70's). Still, I waited maybe a year to see episode 3 because I didn't really like ep2. Most of the recent games I ignore, but I love some of the older ones like Tie Fighter and the original Dark Forces. My dad was a big fan of the original Star Wars trilogy, I watched it, didn't like it at all, then I watched Episode 1 in theatre, hated it. Watched it again, loved it, watched the originals, loved it. Weird. |

My dad was playing a demo of dark forces 2, So i wasn't allowed to use his pc.. Sometime in the heady years before 7 my aunt sent over the OT videos, this was pre-special edition so Han shot first. I have odd memories of watching them at such a young age, I loved them from the first instant, they were the films I would watch over and over as a kid. However I used to think Luke fell out of a star destroyer not bespin? and other oddities.
My mum had been to see them when they came out, so i was encouraged as well. Played with the toys, played the games etc. The books kept me going until Episode 1 came out, although for me the big thing was when they put the OT on in cinemas for the Special Ed, went to see them all
