Back to blending the rendors - even if it looks ok, generaly things look ALOT Better when blended correctly. for example, 4. looks like you have made a background, got lazy, and simply dropped the render on, then said ''Finished'' and walked away.. _______________ Quote: I mostly agree oh Lord of the squeezy mop

well about that 'leading' thing i ment that
you could have just place an empty background and it could looks the same. do not use background as some sort of wallpaper you use at home for decorating walls. background is a part of the sig and should be as interesting as everything else. _______________ playing jk3 since 30th of january (2005), member since 1st of february. Ive never considered blending cutouts/renders very important unless you are using something like a smudge or soft grunge technique since other than that i feel its just a matter of color coordination.
Edit: For example 3 has no blending techniques used at all except what i remember as a extremely light feather. 3 is the best - rest of them arent blended well enough, for example 1 is too cluttered - you cant see the render very easily, and for example.. 4 it just looks like youve made a background. and Dumped the render straight ontop of it without any work. If you need a very basic method of stopping crisp edges, just duplicate the render layer and gaussian blur it a little to soften it up, then drop it behind the original render.
