Setementor's right, except that the template is actually:

111.222.333.444:55555

the 111, 222, etc can be anywhere from 1 to 3 digits; the 55555 will always be 5 digits, of which the first 3 will always be 290.

When you get the IP from the servers page, it'll look something like this:

11.222.33.44:29000

The first part, 11.222.33.44, is the IP address. The port is the part behind the colon - 29000.

When you connect to the server, just enter the IP and Port exactly as it is shown in the table on the servers page, in the format: 00.000.00.00:00000. :)

Ok dude, here's the deal. You're trying to connect to the Jedi Outcast servers, which is why you're getting that server protocol error, and why they don't show on your favorites list.

On the server page, you want to get the IP's for servers beginning with the prefix JK3. Those are the Jedi Academy servers. Ones starting with [JA] are Jedi Outcast.

If all else fails, before giving up, try this:

- Get the JKA Minimizer so you can minimize quickly and easily.
- Log into the site and go to the JK3Home server page.
- Copy the password to your clipboard (Ctrl-C). In game, bring up the console (Shift-~) and type /password, put a space, and hit Ctrl-V to paste the password. Hit enter.
- Minimize the game.
- On the server page, copy the IP: Port to your clipboard. Back in game again, bring up the console and type /connect, put a space, and paste the password. Hit enter.

And you'll be connecting to the server!

Make sure you do NOT exit the game between steps, as the password you copied in will have been cleared. Use the Jedi Academy Minimizer from jk3files.com to minimize the game between steps.

EDIT: stupid smilies >.<

Have you tried finding the servers on programs like The All-Seeing Eye? They come up no matter what mod they're using, I'm sure you'll find it there. Also, make sure you're using the right port numbers.

In the favourites when i sort by game - jedi acadmey none of the servers show up from here

No, they won't show up when you tell it to sort by Jedi Academy. All of our servers are running an admin mod, so the server list doesn't recognize them as vanilla JA.

If you're connecting to the Jedi Academy's servers with the game Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast, you may get that problem. Most of those servers are specifically for the most recent game in the jedi knight series: Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy, not JKII:JO.

My best guess is that you need to have the 1.01 patch downloaded.
