it might not be a sad day for SOME people, but for me its a pretty sad day. for those of you who dont know jacen aratan too well, he's not all of what he has been made out to look like. he is a person that believes greatly in what he deems right and has the guts to back it up without worry of consequences. I mean really, no good deed goes unpunished. He was the first face i saw at the ja and he helped me set myself up at the ja without looking down on me one iota. I was the worst ja n00b the ja has ever seen, jacen didnt care, he took me under his wing and taught me all he could and found the right people to talk to when he didnt know something. he was a fantastic friend, mentor, and teacher. not to mention deadly with guns (ctf) he was always there for me, i know he still is there for me but there are alot of people who are gonna miss out on "jacen style" ja. there are some who have trouble accepting people for who they are, i can understand this, its the other things these people do i dont understand. im not gonna point fingers, but to those of you who know who you are, know that you probably will never get the chance to clank beer mugs with MO cuz i dont hang with people who "hide" jacen i dont agree with the premice you left under but i salute the balls it took to make that post and express yourself your way. I speak for me and the ts crew when i say "OMFGH4X JACEN, YOU TOTALLY PWN AND WILL ALWAYS PWN!" for those of you who didnt get to meet jacen and just hang out with him you have my sympathy. jacen aratan, MO will miss you alot brother, know that well. I can tell you guys that all of these recent bans have been with good reason. They chose to break rules and push their luck despite any warnings. It wasn't a case of just banning people who weren't liked. As far as swearing goes, even if you're likely to hear it a lot, I personally prefer not to hear it used all the time. One of the many things that makes this the community it is, is the respect and great attitudes many of us have. If I walked into a place that was full of swearing, I'd get a bad impression of it. So although I may agree that most of us know and will hear such words throughout our lives, it's not such a nice thing to hear used all the time, at least for people like myself. |

Ok, I totally failed at making my point there! Let's try again! n_n Sometimes, complete and utter bluntness isn't always appropriate. In my line of work, it could get me put in prison!  It's all fine and well, as long as civility isn't compromised. People aren't banned from the JA for no reason. Trust me, i've been around for a very long time. |

I wouldn't know about much pre-purge, didn't really pay attention to the ranks, the purge came about the same time as I finished up some night school, now that I have time in the evenings I have no oppurtunity. oh and I haven't flamed anybody, yet. ok b4 this thread goes the wrong way, note to all who read it, this is not a flame thread, this is my farewell to jacen aratan and paying him the respect he has earned from me. as far as the "other" people i didnt mention, i did it for a reason. SO PEOPLE WONT COME AND FLAME THE PEOPLE I DIDNT MENTION. i fully back the council and what they chose is right for the ja and in that i trust them to do what is right. i personally dont see eye to eye with them on alot of things but i wont post it here in the forums. i will take right to their front door and slam dunk it right in their lap if thats what is needed or i will discuss it in live chat. dont come on this thread and say something whether directly or indirectly about someone. i will close the thread and have it deleted. i hang at the ja to hang out with the gozillion friends ive made here and not to burn bridges. So take what ever message you want from my thread but like it or not the jac is here to stay so find a happy medium and cruise it. if you have issues and they are infact legitimate, talk to a council member that doesnt piss you off or talk to me and i'll talk to them. you know what if they lock this thread, i'll do what MOTREC does best. Jacen rocks. I mean, come on, he supports Barcelona. n_n Still, I see where he's coming from. From a third person perspective, Buzz probably seems exactly the way Jacen depicted him, but from the perspective of anybody who's been a Knight, Trainer, or whatever in the Academy, there is an appreciation for what he, and all the other JACs do. It's a stressful job, and they get very little out of it. When people push their luck, of course pride is going to be dented and of course the higher ups get mad. You people need to remember that they're human, so of course they'll take a shot at people now and then. Doesn't make 'em right, just makes 'em human. You should be thankful it's Buzz that handles the bad students, and not someone like me. n_n |

I understand the occasional rant, and certainly don't think that cursing is a way to get positive attention or feedback but I also see the mans point. In this organization the power lies in the hands of the few and in the situation power will be abused. It has been and will continue to be done. Sad but true and we sit back and say nothing cuz we are scared. Me too, I don't want to get kicked, even though there are no classes scheduled conveniently for my time zone, and there are 3 trainers for a couple hundred members, and just about everyone that has an opinion is ruthlessly shut down and brow beaten by a JAC, he knows who he is. I would mention his name but then I might be flaming him and as mentioned above I don't want to be kicked cuz a JAC doesn't like me, which seems to be reason enuf. Hey when I was a clan commander I kicked people that i didn't like, doesn't mean I was right in doing so. I can not stand people that absolutely must have the last word, to the point where they will post in a locked thread just cuz a)he can and b) he has one more thing to say, which amounts to very little. While this works well here where he can silence anyone with a ban, delete their posts or lock out an account, it prolly doesn't work well for him in the real world. I've seen a few people kicked in the last couple weeks and per the rules they all had it coming but lets face it this game, JK: JA, is dead. The only thing keeping it alive is a very small community.
