it might not be a sad day for SOME people, but for me its a pretty sad day. for those of you who dont know jacen aratan too well, he's not all of what he has been made out to look like. he is a person that believes greatly in what he deems right and has the guts to back it up without worry of consequences. I mean really, no good deed goes unpunished. He was the first face i saw at the ja and he helped me set myself up at the ja without looking down on me one iota. I was the worst ja n00b the ja has ever seen, jacen didnt care, he took me under his wing and taught me all he could and found the right people to talk to when he didnt know something. he was a fantastic friend, mentor, and teacher. not to mention deadly with guns (ctf) he was always there for me, i know he still is there for me but there are alot of people who are gonna miss out on "jacen style" ja. there are some who have trouble accepting people for who they are, i can understand this, its the other things these people do i dont understand. im not gonna point fingers, but to those of you who know who you are, know that you probably will never get the chance to clank beer mugs with MO cuz i dont hang with people who "hide" jacen i dont agree with the premice you left under but i salute the balls it took to make that post and express yourself your way. I speak for me and the ts crew when i say "OMFGH4X JACEN, YOU TOTALLY PWN AND WILL ALWAYS PWN!" for those of you who didnt get to meet jacen and just hang out with him you have my sympathy. jacen aratan, MO will miss you alot brother, know that well. I have seen alot of useless stuff said in this thread so far. Everything from it's members being stuffing without worth, to random slaps and personal attacks. It scares me to see so many new folk getting this rilled up about stuff when they do not have clue one as to how things have been in the past. Now the whole situation that lead to Jacens post was an ugly affair to say the very least. Rules were bent/broken on both sides and I belive both have come to regret past actions. What bothers me is that a group of people have come to validate that one incident as being the main wrong in the JA. At best it was a slip up, and seeing as we are all human I can see that happening from time to time. When I sat down and wrote the rules from this place I intended them to be followed by everyone. They are a guide to an ideal situation if you will. It will not be uplived 100% of the time, I understood that of course. But they are a goal to which one can strive. I really do hope the intence debate over ethics and the like can calm down and we can use this thread as it was intended by Motrec. -[Jacen]- You were by bud from day 1 man. Being that we both live so close and that you are a crazy little bugger. We didn't see eye to eye in the ranks, but we had alot of fun in our disagreements as well. WTF. um. just wait till i get back. just wait. nobodys leaving the JA. im putting my foot down. and thats that. listen. i was really active around here for a while. we had alot of problems. with the admin, students, and pretty much everything. but it always worked out. because the people in charge know what their doing. this isnt some fking clan you join to prove that your a badass. you sleep in the bed that you make damnit. come here to learn how to play, and then leave. dont stick around the school. its like those 28 year old guys that try to handout with the high school kids at parties and shit. its horrible. if they dont want to give you a positiion as a knight or trainer or whatever, its because your a jackass or they dont need anymore. its not for everybody, its not fun. its not. its like a job that you dont get paid for. and you have to explain to girls that you cant go out at a certain time because you have to teach a class online. and they ask what type of class. and you tell them. and they laugh at you. i dont even remember wtf my point was. aefölkj ok im out. |

Y'know, things would be great if two things happened: 1) People treated everybody as a friend. 2) People lightened the hell up. That's how it used to be in the Golden Age. None of this insane internet drama crap. If you don't like how things are, then go away. Seriously. Nobody's forcing you to stay here, and there are tons of other servers to check out. Go join a clan. Meet new people, get private server passes, whatever. It's not that hard if you have even basic networking skills. But some people are just too damned complacent to take things into their own hands, so all they want to do is sit around and go "wah wah wah  " and expect other people to fix it.How about you fix it your own damned self and take some responsibility. Jacen Aratan, is one of the most decent people Ive seen come through this academy. You new guys who have been here a few months have no right to critise or slander him, a great deal over half of the people posting here about him probably havnt ever seen or spoke to him. He was an excellent Knight and maintained those standards as a Trainer. I dont know why he has been banned, and I dont care either. Wow ok so yeah I didnt bother reading any of the other posts on this thread. WAAAAYY to many to go through and im sure without reading them that some are pretty unpleasant. I just wanted to say to Jace that I wish him nothing but the best in his life and I will keep in touch with him. I have known Jace since the jk2 days and he was one of my greatest friends then and always will be. He was always very very helpful on the servers, never even giving a second thought to helping people if they needed it. Not to mention he made the game of JK so much more fun.
