A new era of Star Wars entertainment begins in 2008 when Star Wars: The Clone Wars, from creator George Lucas, premieres as an all-new feature film in August, followed by the television series debut in the fall, in a partnership announced today between Lucasfilm Ltd., Warner Bros. Pictures and Turner Broadcasting System Inc. Produced by Lucasfilm Animation, Star Wars: The Clone Wars takes audiences on incredible new Star Wars adventures, combining the legendary storytelling of Lucasfilm with an eye-popping, signature animation style. Star Wars: The Clone Wars will open in North American theaters Friday, August 15. International release dates will be announced soon. There will be a full season DVD and Blu-ray release toward the end of the year. It was good, the space stuff was classic Star Wars, and I must admit they have done a better job with Anakin's characterisation than the prequels did.
However I cannot help but find Ahsoka varies between okay and annoying, never to Binks-class levels of awfulness of course, just... annoying. Just shows its aimed at a younger audience though I guess. I didnt like this episode, the mad scientist twist which boring and predictable. plus our 1st sighting of the "angels" from Iego. and i hated the evil doctor...if i had to ehar him say "yes yes yes yes yes yesssss" 1 more time i would put a blaster to his temple and pull the trigger. Overall the 2nd was much much better _______________ Come on now, every Generation X boy wanted to be Luke Skywalker. Is it because he was a whiney farm boy from some backwater hack planet? No, it's because he was a FREAKING JEDI. He could block lasers with his lightsaber. He could levitate droids & rocks & crap with his mind. Come on, he choked two pig dudes with just a simple gesture. Double Ep's in US today, 17 and 18.
17 was meh... JarJar's voice was again done very badly, if it isn't anoying enough. Actually Ahsoka's lightsaber action was probably the only saving grace for this Ep.
