So the Aurochs, while working hard as a duel and tffa competition team representing the JA, sometimes mess around with little side projects that we think might benefit JK3. Our latest brainstorm: The Archives. Remember the Archives from the movies? That huge blueish hall that had every piece of information except for a little planet called Kamino? The "complete" database of information about everything in the universe? Yeah we'd like to think that's what we're making but we are no where close to it. But it could be... The Archives is a wiki. I'm sure you all have used Wikipedia at some point. A wiki allows a database of information to be collected and contributed to by everyone. So instead of one person or a small group writing just a little bit at a time, the entire community can pitch in! Wikis do work and can be an incredible tool to anyone looking for information on a subject that might not be available elsewhere. The Archives is in it's infancy. There is very little written so far because of how short it's exsisted and how few writers there are at the moment. Also, the Aurochs have written in some little bits of humor during the testing phase that can be found here and there. Overall though, the Archives is expanding very quickly and is starting to collect some very interesting information! We want to invite all of you to help to. Just sign up as a member, then when you find something you want to add to or a subject you're knowledgable about, click the "edit" tab and get to it! We ask that you use common sense when writing and on controversial topics you keep a state of neutrality. So without further ado, The Archives: http://archives.thejediacademy.net! Here is for Master, under team im not sure how to put taht in. Also it needs to be linked to the BWN part because the def of master there is padawans take these. "Master" is referring to the clan. Master started in Jk2 on Cryo's server, there was DarkStar, CRYO, SoulKeeper,Polyphemus,RAdkey,Andy, and few others i cant recall right now. The sever had weekly closed matches that were invite only to the best. After a few weeks of the invite only thing clan Master was formed. I played the server allot and was invited by Darkstar to join (against poly's wishes im sure). About 2 months after Master was formed, Cryo decided to leave because jk2 was all hax and lux, whatever... so he closed his server and Darkstar opened "The Temple". Fast forward about a year(maybe more) and you find a new player named Moria started playing allot on the server. I spoted Moria and wanted to get her in the clan. (poly argues this point..) next thing you know her and DS are into the stats thing based on some antiquated chess system blah blah blah, then Jk:A came out and Bladeworks was formed. Later Master found that 90% of its members were bored of JK:A, so it was decided to close untill the next Saber based game comes along. (might have been a litte drama in there too) Allot of Good players and good times/Drama were left out of this history. For ex. The complete Ownage of Xr. resulting in Master picking up allot good players and the total Humiliation xr.ronin back in jk2 days. Viper leaving his clan for Master. Then later going back for the same reason he originaly left. lol The big Blue team, the little green team. Allot of members are still around. Solo or In your clans, maintaining the ballance. Nice idea tido, i really enjoyed reading about WoV, hope you get to Legends and them  . Should write about SITH as well :p They are 9 years old or w/e.-Fire/2kill. |

Just fyi, you can find that out by clicking recent changes. From there, you see the 50 most recent changes within 7 days. Click hist to see the history of changes made on that article. Cool news! The Archives are going to be moving to the JA! Yup, DJ Sith is going to setup a subdomain (archives.thejediacademy.net) and I'm going to move the Archives there. Now when people say the JA is 'THE place for Jedi training', it couldn't be more true. Expected Questions: 1) That's great news, Tido! But does this mean that only a limit number of people approved to write to the Archives can contribute? No! The Archive will remain a Wiki and invites all to contribute. Remember that the entire community drives the wiki so if you write something that is not true, vain, biased, or poorly written then someone will most likely correct it! But all those who wish to make the Archives something more and not less are welcome to help out. 2) What about if someone is abusive with the Archives? The Archives is designed to make it very difficult for someone to abuse an article for a length of time. All previous revisions are saved so it is very easy to restore a page to its proper form. Then abusive members can be removed from the Archives and have their ability to write removed. 3) Will my JA membership/profile integrate with the Archives? Sadly, this will not be the case. You will have to create a member profile for the Archives if you wish to contribute. While the Archives is JA hosted, it is a seperate entity. Stay tuned and thanks so much for everyone that has already added so much to the Archives Project. This will be my last JA/JK3 project and I appreciate everyone who is making it work! |
