I got good news. Wine is defintely the problem, the solution is to use Cedega (Winex 4.) TS and JA work together with Cedega. _______________ Gone but hopefully not forgotten... |

I didn't see you around; so dunno if you solved your TS problem. I looked around, and gathered info and luckily ran into FiZZ who knows many many things about Linux. He suggested that you close either aRts or ESD that may be running. He says those 2 sound apps, get all mixed up with Alsa (Advanced Linux Sound Architecture). JavaGuy, its too bad TS was giving you so many probs  I got ut2003 demo to run simulataneously with TS with no problems, but JA on this machine through wine does the same thing you experienced last night. If I run TS then JA, JA has no sound. This is Slackware 9.1 with the 2.4.22 kernel. Its got to be wine tying up /dev/dsp.I was really surprised that TS didn't work after you rebooted :/ TS works fine until I run JA. _______________ Gone but hopefully not forgotten... |
