Hey, we never even met :P
but because you opened my eyes quite a bit about the world, along with Buzz and Ulic Belouve.
In all those debates, no matter what the subject was, I always enjoyed reading your opinion, and somehow you always managed to convince me AND make me laugh, which is a rare gift.

Also, you changed my perceptions of Bush completely. Just a little while ago, I won a debate in Belgium called "Bush Vs Kerry", me being Pro-Bush, Contra-Kerry.

Because of you, I have taken an interest in Politics, and I plan to take that class when I'm in college. I never would have done that without you, so to thank you

I'd like to give my 9000th comment to you

YAY :D

Alright, thanks a lot. One last ambiguity: after cancelling and resubscribing, do I have to pay the $15 again, or does it pick up where I left off?

Got a few Linux questions you might be able to help with.

1) You mentioned in my "JKA on Linux" thread that I should get rid of any instances of artsd before running Cedega. I'm not using KDE (at this point anyway), so that shouldn't be a problem, but I'm curious: how do you get a shell script to kill a process that will have a different PID every time it's run? For that matter, how do you find ANY process' PID? Is there an equivalent of the WinNT Task Manager?

2) I'm considering subscribing to TransGaming properly instead of fiddling with stupid CVSCedega. If I do so, will my $20 USD give me a year from the date I subscribe, or till the end of the next calendar or fiscal year? Sounds like a stupid question, I know, but I have heard of companies doing it the latter way.

3) TransGaming says that Steam and the HL mods (CS 1.6 etc) are 80+% supported by Cedega/WineX 3.3 and above. Do you know anyone who can back this up? Also, do you know whether or how well the current Cedega release runs Source engine games such as CS: Source?

Thanks for your time.

~tarpman

EDIT: 4) What desktop manager do you recommend: gdm, kdm, or another one?
