:/ It works for me (GCC 3.3.2)... I got typedef short DataType; typedef DataType ColorArray[MAX_Colors]; ColorArray ca; and I can do ca[0], ca[1] ... ca[MAX_Colors-1] w/o a problem :/ ColorArray is supposed to be an array of DataTypes w/ MAX_Colors items. Just like typedef double (*abc)(double a, double b); makes abc a type, that is a pointer to a function with the parameters specified and a result (double) specifies :/ _______________ Your friends of today, are your enemies of tomorrow. |

i felt like telling ya i tried out what i told you on a compiler an it worked. so typedef DataType ColorArray[MAX_Colors]; works That way instead of DataType ca[MAX_Colors]; you type ColorArray DataType; _______________ Your friends of today, are your enemies of tomorrow. |

Well, hell. I'm just glad that people have found it useful. Been doing some forum surfing to catch up, and it looks like it's been helping. And that's basically all I wanted... Hall of Fame was just a little, uh, well... well, I just wasn't sure that I had made that much of an impact with it until I came back. I'm just very, very glad it didn't fizzle. I strongly thought/think it to be a very useful part of our school. Anyway, whoever thought up the idea of the HOF for me, and supported it, I certainly appreciate the props... -rh _______________ Back from the dead... |
