I would have loved Seven of Nine's character even without the tight outfit. She's just a pretty strong character.

Yeah, I know what you mean about Seven's appearance. I didn't quite mind, but perhaps that's because I'm male.  But I see what you mean.
Actually, yes, it could have been interesting if she looked more Borg-like. What do you think of this idea: What if Seven looked more like a Borg, and would slowly loose her implants over the course of the seasons to show how she regains her humanity physically? (I got that idea, because I was hoping that, at the end, her implants would be removed to indicate her 'quest for her humanity'was completed.) As for Kes, I think the word 'bland' is exactly right. The best thing she did, imo, was when she... 'became one with the Force' or something and brought the Voyager 10,000 or so lightyears closer to home. When that happened, I got this crazy idea, lol. I thought Captain Janeway should have turned the ship around and actually go BACK. To pick up more Ocampas. She'd only need 7-8 of them, with each of them giving Voyager 10,000 lightyears, to bridge the gap of 75,000 lightyears. They'd be home, then. Lol. Also, I always wondered about Neelix's future. As in... his lungs were stolen once and replaced by holographic lungs until Kes donated one of hers. But Ocampas only live for nine years and then die of old age. Kes was three (or something) already. So I'm sorry, but I think Neelix only had six or so years ahead of him, unless he got a new lung. oooh, Seven of Nine! I think she was a major improvement over Kes. I felt like, after the first episode, Kes had a small role onboard the Voyager and really wasn't very interesting to me. I wasn't sad to see her leave the show and liked that Seven was added.
I thought Seven was so much more interesting, because of her search to rediscover her humanity as well as her learning about her past. She also made several crucial contributions to the Voyager's survival. I love Seven of Nine. I normally dislike any cast changes, but this is one (out of a total of 3 that I can think of) where I actually liked the NEW character better than the original. _______________ The name is Bond. I love that series, too. I have all seasons on DVD and watched them about half a year ago or so. It's good fun.

I'm doing rather well nowadays, thanks. My job is going well and I still enjoy doing it very much. I've recently bought a very old computer, a Commodore 64, because we used to have one back when I was a kid. It's a lot of fun playing old games on it again and to be able to program in BASIC.
I still play JKJA. Though I'm not on the JA servers much anymore because of a mod that was uploaded. (The server has also been down for a while now.) I tend to hang around on OoF which has lots of nice and friendly people on it. Jaina also plays there and I made some new friends. _______________ The name is Bond. James Bond. True! I felt like some problems/conflicts hadn't been resolved yet. It's understandable though, because the series was cancelled relatively suddenly from what I understood. I would have loved to learn more about the Wraith too, see a final solution to the humans - Wraith conflict, learn what would further become of Elizabeth and see Teyla's kid grow up. Oh, and I'd like to find out what other super-inspired names John Sheppard would think up for Wraith next to 'Bob', 'Steve' and 'Todd'.

Yeah, I've finished watching all seasons (sadly). I loved each of them and didn't want it to end. It's just a great series that I'd recommend to anyone remotely interested in SciFi. Too bad the movie has been postponed indefinately.  _______________ The name is Bond. James Bond. |
