Hey man. I know the last while we haven't talked with each other a whole lot, but I really appreciate the good times we had, duels we engaged in, laughs we shared. Gosh. I really didn't expect to come across something like this. I'm sorry to hear about those problems you had in real life, i really am. Perhaps not in such a deep instance as that, but i fully understand what you mean when you say that you cannot let games change your life, because it has happened to me as well. I'm not gonna tell you my little story, but i just want to tell you that i admire you for doing what you are doing. It takes a lot of guts, you are one awesome guy. Well, I never thought it would come to this, but I have to say my final goodbye to the community here. I enjoyed the community thoroughly and will miss the friends I have made here, but I have decided to give up on the internet and gaming entirely.
My life recently went through an upheaval where the love of my life developed a drinking problem and I barely took note because I was so caught up in a game. Our relationship changed, the wedding was called off and ultimately I moved out of our apartment. Sorry Faded and Hardwired, I can't invite you to a wedding that will never be. As a piece of parting advice... I loved gaming throughout high school and college. I know they can offer you some of the best times. But do not, EVER, let them change your life. Games are simply diversions, not a lifestyle. I have realized I lack the wisdom and maturity to balance my life with games, so I am cutting them out entirely. I may still access the site during breaks at work and the like, but I do not plan on getting the internet at my home. My computer now sits as idle as this account. Farewell to you all. I can only hope someone sees my goodbye. EDIT: I've sorted out a few issues and decided that I need to keep as many friends as I can. That includes all the great people I've met here at the academy! I recently got dialup access once more (Yay 28k!) so I will be showing up on IRC, maybe even the forums. I will not however, be playing on the servers as 28k is the sux.
