Hi there Kowy! I'm sorry but Bail Sete and I have prepared a final draft of the Email tonight without seeing your draft. We would have loved to wait for you but we want to get this thing started as soon as possible. Feel free to send your draft in anyway though or just view our "final" copy and offer corrections/suggestions for improvment... We did our best but it is far from perfect. Once we have this going our timezone problem will probably not be a problem. PS. Bail and I have submitted them, but I don't believe Squibit has. As far as I know, there are currently no plans for meetings and such. There may be in the future, and you simple check the Gmail account for information. Yes, we are kind of using Gmail as a discussion board! You're welcome. |

Dear Kow, We are sorry you were unable to attend for whatever reason that may be. We have a log you may see if you wish. Although, this log may be a little confusing. The basics are as follows: We need to send each other e-mails, and had an idea. This idea was to create a new Gmail account for us all to use. Using this, we can send announcements to this account using that same address. We will also use this to message the users. We all have access to this account, yet only one can be logged in at any one time (I think). This would also prevent two of us sending an e-mail to the same person. If you catch us on MSN, we will give you the password and a link to the the login page. I decided we could send an e-mail to everyone in the list on the program thread to ensure they are still up for it. After this, we may begin mailing the new members. We will see who has already recieved an e-mail when we login to the Gmail account. The contents of the first e-mail to the new user will be asking them if they want to have a Big Brother/Sister give them information or not. After a reply, we will check for available people in our list of big "Brothers"/"Sisters". We will send a message to one of these people, using our Gmail account, and asking them if they can meet up with them at the time specified by the new member. Depending on the answer, we will then send another e-mail to the new member with the time, who they will meet, and where. Yes, we will have to take it in turns, allowing for us all to take a part. At the moment, we are each writing a message template to send to the new users. We will then compare, combined, and improve them until we have our template.
