Quite a few students and trainers have been suggesting map modifications & a few have offered to make these modifications. Please post your comments on what you'd like added/changed to the map. Please try to keep it reasonable.  |

I'm going to make an Academy as well. The courtyard is in the center of everything. There is a lobby that leads to no room (for AFK or so.) And there's a secret passage to a "take a break" place. Like the swimming pool. =) I'll *try* to make a fountain in the middle of the courtyard, just for decoration. =) There's a weapon and ammo place in one one room. There's other stuff, and other stuff, and let's not forget some other stuff. And if I'm kind enough: There's going to be a little spot for the RPers. _______________ slorp |

I'm gonna listen to Massadoobie and not put any "hang-out" areas in the map. Everything in my map will have a training purpose, or be a really cool place to duel. If you're afk, you could hang out in the lobby that I'm making. People usually get shot in the Lobby while afk because it's an area that leads to everything. I'm fixing this problem, but don't be afk at the server for too long! |

Hmmm some room where you can practise dodging gunfire would be nice.... Something like those errr.... flying balls that shoot  in a room where you can change the level of the ball. |

Although massadoobie says the Jedi Academy is for training, I was thinking.. Maybe some house hangout where you swim and dance n stuff that would be cool. Also, I'd like a large courtyard, or just more than one. It'd also be nice if there was a nice RPing spot for us RPers. *wink wink* As for the teleporting thing.
I think it would be a great idea. Like Lando's Cloud Shark. Never say Lando around me. But it's not exactly like "his" Cloud Shark. Like one teleport teleports you to the future, one teleport to medieval, one teleport to Bespin , and one teleport to The Jedi Academy.

And at the bottom would be water, incase you fell off. I'd just like to remind everyone that this map is for the Jedi Academy TRAINING purposes... a lot of your ideas are very good, but you have to consider that on each server there is generally only one class going on at a time, and we honestly don't have room on our servers for a "hang-out" type place (that's what IRC/chat is for). and also, you have to consider we have to have a map that doesn't kill the frame rates of people with slower computers. a bar that ppl can go to when there are afk or just wanna chat a little bit, make the bar brown, more like a bar that way, some mucic that plays in that bar area
and that forrest idea is good to
i hope the new map will still look like the jedi academy map that is on the servers now! |

What we need is a larger area to practice gun duels. Lots of people get nervous when guns are pulled out inside the academy, so we need an area with guns, obstacles, etc.
An area to practice using mines, det packs, etc would be nice too. One final idea would be a mazelike area with a glass ceiling so observers could see the whole thing. |

well id like Bespin on the other side of the broken doors....and a note on the dummies...can a brush be made with infinite hp and then a script that shows damage done to the dummy last 5 secs or smthing...that way u can see if a combo's damage is worth it or stuff like that...but what i actually want is thigs to be more real(no unpassable doors no windows u cant go through) i mean why but smthing in the map that isnt used |

I would like a large, open area with small platforms going as high as Nar Shadaa Streets' catwalks. If we have that, we can practice jumping on small surfaces while not falling to our deaths. It would also make a good dueling room. |

Well, Carnage, since you're the one making the map...how about a 'Carnage Room"? In other words, the worst environment imaginable. I'm sure you can think of big nasty things and traps...etc to put in...but, that's just my idea. peace!! |

I wanna see more outdoor areas, like part of the forest around the academy. Also more rooms to play in and a bigger lobby with a lounge feel to it. Also some non-training areas would be cool like dorms and jedi offices or whatever. Add more elements from the single player game version like the hangar and the computer room. |

Well... I was thinking some sort of a long and vast space where you could actually recreate (how you see it in your mind) the Trials. I guess that is what everyone wants (when they talk about dummies) Have some bots spawning in that particular area, and make them not leave those premises...
Or maybe just copy (and make some advanced capabilities) the trials from the 4th Yavin level... Just an idea, that's all... |

Dummies... hmm maybe some practice arena full of dummies to see how well and where u can hit.. maybe one area with one dummy, another one two dummies and so on.. just thinking.
Teleporting, I don't know, but should be great. I am ain't any knowledge about creating maps, maybe I should read the mod. What programme do you use to create maps for JK2? |

Thats a good layout idea i think, i though of a mad idea just now believe it or not...so listen to this then laugh your head off... Could a teleporter be made in a room that takes you to the Jedi Council room in corusant, thats where the staff ect. could hang around or disciss stuff ie...if you have a quire or complaint you go up to the council and take it to the staff, It's mad but pretty kewl i think |
