A few things... first, I'd like to congratulate Hon Accor for his victory over Nimravus (who fought very well) in the Alpha/Beta group winner stage of the tournament. Hon will next face the wildcard winner from Delta/Gamma in the semifinals. Speaking of wildcard, NofrikinfuN won the Alpha/Beta wildcard and has earned the right to face the winner of the LEO2033/ShadowSith match. Congrats guys!
Also, I'd like to remind those of you that have submitted your name for Learner trials or had your application approved for Journeyman trials to GET YOUR TRIALS! Seriously, we have a list of 48 Learner/Journeyman trials waiting to be done, so log in, check the trials section, see if you're eligible, and track down some JATs! And JATs... get your butts into (higher) gear! |

Archangel i am not saying anything except stating the fact that on weekends it is easier to get trials.. i am not saying that your life has to be nothing but the JA, i have a life too.. believe it or not. we all have our work, school, (other) hobbies, family, and so on and so on, that's kind of a given. ..and yeah Qtracker can be very usefull. just like ulic, i have it set on notifying me when certain people log in.. "player found".. YEY!! i use it for other games too.. i would really recommend getting it if you're a heavy-duty online gamer like me..

I definately agree with that idea. Maybe then, after applying before they even had started journeyman trials, I could get one. The only problem in this is that you would have to get two JAT's on at one time with no intent other than to trial, which would be a rather boring, and grueling hour for them. So if it happens YAY. I'm on the learner trial list on accedent. When I read this I thought I was suposed to go to trials to see if I was eligible and I clicked on a the submit button thinking I had to do that now. You can take me off the list. I'm not exactly ready yet. I haven't even owned the game that long. I actually previously suggested a solution to the JAT trial quandry... which, saddly, much like my requests for trials [I've been trying to get one for over 2 weeks now] has gone unheard.
If we can schedule classes why can we not schedule a Trial class? (not to learn about them but to take them) Say twice a week 2 JAT's (doesn't allways have to be the same 2 Jat's) at a scheduled time, on-line, for an hour to conduct Trials. Could be set up as an enroll, although I'm sure the capacity would have to be set to call a class full at 3 or 4 people since trials do take longer, or it could be set up as first come first serve. Can I get an AMEN! :^p |

Yes, we must wait. I know some have thought that I was impatient in my looking into the Knight trials. In all honesty, if someone asked me today (the 25th) if I wanted to be a Knight, I would say no. This goes off of the lesson I am working on writing, in humility. I'm not the most humble, but more so than most. I never feel I know enough skills to be a Knight. So with my patience and humility, I might not advance for a while. And I am fine with that. With all these out there looking to advance, look at patience and humility within yourselves. Are you the ambitious student, who is overconfident in their skills? I have seen many like this who are asking for trials. When you are patient in your advancement, and humble in your skills, then you are truly a master of yourself. And THAT is what a Jedi truly is. _______________ Jedi do not fight for peace. Hmmm...
Kinda hard to explain. I do want to say here just for all of those out there that yes, q-tracker does have its flaws, and it's not the greatest. But it woks for some things. That being said, Vaughn, here's how I'll help you out. When you have it open, go to View > Settings Under that, go to Games. The only thing that should really be checked is JK2. Now, do all that, have that set. Now, on the left, highlight the Jedi Knight 2 subset. Go to the toolbar, and select Folder > New > Folder Call that Folder Jedi Academy. If you did it right, you will have a folder uner Jedi Knight 2. Now, highlight the folder called Jedi Academy. Go to the toolbar and select Folder > New > Server Type in the IP address for the Academy Server. Repeat for all the servers (there are 4) Now, to play with the PlayerWatch. Right click on a server with people in it, and select View Players, Scores, and Rules. This brings up a screen that shows you info about who is in the server. Now, as I do this, I see "Acidic". Since I like him, I want to know when he is on. Right click his name, select PlayerWatch, and add... This will give you options in a screen. Make sure the game is Jedi Knight II, and you can even set the search mask to match entire name, or anywhere in name. For my earlier example, you can go to View > Playerwatch > Add... And then type in [JAT], make sure the game is Jedi Knight II, set the search mask to "Appears anywhere in name", and hit add. You should see [JAT] in the normal JKII text. Now, whenever someone with [JAT] in their name, like a trainer (wow!), is on any one of the 4 servers you listed, a window will pop up and tell you. You can add anyone here, like Ulic Belouve [JAS]. Because then you will know when your FAVORITE Jedi is online.... ....but I am sorry that I can't give you his/her name. Heh. It will also tell you your ping for all but DJ Sith's server. Because he is too cool for pings, and he "exceeds the rock" (inside joke). Don't ask me why his doesn't show a ping, but the easiest explanation is just that it rocks so much. Hope that helps all. The old method for getting Learner promotions known was by having the JAT email one of us. This turned out to be horrrrrrrribly inefficient. A greay many students unfortunately fell through the cracks. We've got a new much easier system behind the scenes for processing trials, so this shouldn't happen again. All I can ask is that you guys who got your trials passed but no promotion is to track down your JAT and get them to get us to promote you. _______________ My car is made of Nerf. |

Do what I did... Get Q-Tracker... www.qtracker.com Have the player watch feature alert you whenever someone with JAT or JAC in their name is in the server (or add each JATs name).... ...when you HAVE 2 shown in the same server, then join, ask for trial. That's how I did it. sit around and study, and join when I see that 2 JATs or JACs are on. Saves some headache. Then you don't have to go on and wait around, because my guess is that if 2 JATs are on one server (and it isn't a class), they are probably doing trials. But patience is part of the game. That goes for everyone. Read my lesson on patience under my profile, and then maybe one will see things in a different light. _______________ Jedi do not fight for peace. Bubu. Not everyone can revolve thier lives around getting a trial. Every weekend I either work nonstop most of the time 10 hour days, or if I get weekend days off I'm going to my parents house in my hometown to work on my car. I used to get on during the weekends, but it would be late at night. I still never found any JATs, or they were too busy. This of course was before all of the new trianers were promoted, but now I just don't have the time to log on and wait during the weekends.
I am sure others have similar situations. I know Nofrikinfun never logs on during weekends because he goes home from college on weekends. I'm in the same boat as Aeth, I passed my learner trial a couple weeks ago but the site still says i'm an initiate.

GARG! i passed my trials on the 9th november!! ask zero or acidic, it's TRUE! and what happened? nothing! (btw, i did it without the new site feature... just via email). anyway, if you guys play during weekends, you can't tell me that you could never find more than one JAT on at a time, coz there are almost ALWAYS more than 2 JATs, if not JACs, on the servers during weekends. so my point is, if you come to servers on a weekend with a trial in mind, you will get it. now, JACs, where are we standing on that whole knight trials thing? _______________ make install -not war |

If any of you know me you'll know that I've also ben trying to get my Journeyman trial for about a week and a half. I was told I would have it after they finished someone else by 2 trainers, they both then said they were 2 tired and left, after an hour wait. Been trying all week but apparently all trials have been postponed until after the tournament.

I have been on the servers on more than 5 occasions and asked to get journeyman trials. With 2 trainers in the room, not doing anything serious. Have I gotten a trial thusfar, no. I understand your need to narrow down the list some, but I just need to point out that it is harder to get trials sometimes than you would think. Some trianers are never on the servers (not naming names because we all know who they are) and most of the time you can't catch two trainers online at the same time later at night. At least I have had severe problems with this. Anyway, just had to point out that there is a flip side to this being on the list forever crap.
