If you rmemeber our news abut a JA recreational map a while back... the map author Preadator Kallata'n wants to know your thoughts on this project. Namely is there a demand for this map in the Academy? Should he continue? If so what do you want to see in the map? Post your feelings on this issue as news comments or email Preadator directly please. |

A very good idea,
If it's ment for relaxation, I'd say we need much more nature. A much larger garden is required. Maybe, if you don't want to expand the map you can built upwards. Like 4 floors, training, duel, garden/relaxation, JAT and council area. I think the JATs and councilmembers deserve their own rooms. There they can teach their apprentices. Yey, Nice to see that Rec Map is back on. Johny as great ideas, as well as the rest of the guys. I liked the trampolin thingy, that looks cool.
Just keep one thing in mind ppl, this is a rec map, so the only dueling going on should be demonstrations or classes. Lets say youre in the bar talking to a buddy and you have this new move you would like to show him. You dont start a fight in the bar , and you shouldn't have to change servers. So you head down to the dueling room. Here souhould be the place for Council and Trainers meetings and tryouts. So there should be rooms for that. As well as for theory classes and awards events. Wouldn't be cool if when you get promoted we had a big event with all the promoted guys being awarded by the council ? What would be cool is rooms with optional obstacles. Have a ceiling that is high, and with the push of a button - like an elevator that moves up and down, obstacles like the matrix room or such that would move from an area above the ceiling out of sight and then move into the map so that any room could serve a dual/duel purpose. One of the obstacles I would like to see is a room filled with player models where I could practice red saber stance by practicing hitting a stationary object while i'm jumping around. And when no one is using it or the room is needed for a duel - hit the button and the room is clear for dueling. Or you could even (this would probably be too dificult though) have rooms that expand at the push of a button to allow switching between tournaments and private duels. |

i think that there should be some sort of center room/ front desk where you start every time u respawn . in this place there should be a lot of sheild and bactas to heal and get ready to practice. _______________ "this is Icco. Tiamat - the purpose of the JA Rec is for Recreation (just incase you didn't notice  no1 will b getting 'physical pleasure' i can assure you 
Jonny's got sum good ideas there :: =i've pretty much given up on lifts without buttons, as they've got sum odd feature faults =i'm pretty sure there's no way to 'password' areas, but i can always find away around that
=i may not include guns - i thought this through before starting and guns mite not b a good idea, but if the lamers stop laming (not that i'm sure if there r ne at th mo) then sure
and as for the trampoline mad Aci, i'll probably make you a special trampoline...over a pit...with a pre-set trigger so you always fall off hehe j/k -- your trampolines will come...
i guess this is me telling myself to GET BACK TO WORK!!!

There should be:
1)A cool big bar place with flashing lights and music, make sure it is suitable for an RPG bar fight or sumthin
2)A few duel rooms, Way bigger outside place. FFA Rooms with obstacles and high and low ledges. 3) SECRET AREAS!!! 4) Make the walls perpendicular. otherwise we cannot run up them, and running up walls is cool! 5) Make a "trial" area, where 2 JAT's and stuff (up to 5 or so) can sit in a glass gallery, and control lifts in a glass duel area, with a big spectator area (like Jedi council GC2) with a smaller, extra bar there. 6) LIFTS!!! But ones with buttons which do not move up and down automatically, just when you press da button. 7) A council area, and a JAT area, (try to make a password for each of those rooms .)
8) A Teaching area, for lessons. 9) A Private teaching area, for padawans and masters. 10) A few gun training areas aswell, sniping, thermal dets etc. 11) THIS IS ANOTHER SUBTLE HINT FOR DJ SITH OR DOOBIE TO REMIND THEM THAT THEY STILL HAVE NOT CHANGED MY RANK I AM NOT AN INITIATE!! yeah we really need something different. a big map, with lots of different features. different dueling rooms, a large ffa area, a "bar" area, and make it interesting to the eye too..

I'm not sure about EVERYONE, but I know ALOT of people were happy with that Grand counsil map (mainly because of the other features other than only duel rooms). I think it would be great if we had a new map like that (with working elevators . I'm using the Counsil map as an example because of its variety. It was a really fun map to play, but it also had that spot to duel. Make a map like that, where we have a lot of space to have fun (and have a ffa nearby) and make some seperate dueling rooms etc..

I so want a new map the current map is just a bunch of duel rooms. I think we should have area designed for ffa and also a place to hang out like a bar with some dif music beside star wars. |
