More site updates in the hizzy -DJ Sith- Jan 04 03:31am -16 comments-
Got some more goodies for you...

  • Profiles now have a homepage field. If you want one displayed on your profile page you can add it by clicking the "My Profile" link in the menu.

  • There's a link to view your profile from the profile editing page.

  • Knights can now view the trial lists and details.

  • Canned the 2 animated smilies. Sorry guys (and JJ), but the site looked freakin horrible with all the animated smiley spam.

  • Smileys are now clickable into posts (thanks, AsoAron!)

  • Permanent logins now work. Rejoice. :)

Whew. Next up is the dreaded profile picture uploads and getting the forums a little nicer. Have fun!

Edit: Some more minor things.. fixed some forum security issues & now the council can see which JAT is nominating a JMan for Knight (to make sure no favoritism goes on).

News from Jacen on his classes -DJ Sith- Jan 02 05:16pm -13 comments-
Our instructor Jacen Solo wanted me to post this little tidbit concerning some changes in his classes:

I decided to change some of my classes and add a new one. Here is my new class schedulle.

Monday - 11 PM GMT - Learner Preparation and Trials:

On this class I will evalute the students and help them on the Learner Trials requirements. After the class I will trial the students that I consider ready for the task.

Thusrday - 11 PM GMT - J-Man Preparation and Trials:

Same thing as Learner Preparation class , but due to the time needed for each J-Man I will only trial 2 students.

Friday - 11 PM GMT - JAK's Teaching class:

This will be a workshop were I will share my teaching experience with the JAK's and try to prepare them for a future as a JAT. I will try to get other JAT/JAC's to work with us.

Saturday - 8 PM GMT - CTF insanity:

This will be standart CTF games (under my rules) where I will ask some of the more experienced players to share some of their knowladge with us.

I would also like to ask for some JAK volunteers to help me with Learner and J-Man preparation classes on a regular base.

More site changes -DJ Sith- Dec 30 10:50pm -28 comments-
Howdy kids. I've added a few things to the site for you to play with:

1) Smileys! :) :P :jj: - About 11 smileys are available. right now you'll have to type in the code to get them in your comments and forum posts. Gimme a few on getting them clickable into your posts. If you wish to not see smileys you can turn that option off in your profile.

2) Comments can now be viewed in ascending or descending order. By default all comments are viewed in descending order, like before, but ya'll can chenge this from your profile pages.

Once I get home I'll work on some of the more important updates you guys have requested on the forums. Take it easy!

Smoothing some tensions... -DJ Sith- Dec 29 03:23am -9 comments-
Theres been some tension between a former staff memeber and some of our instructors recently. Autumn's Rain (aka Yun) asked me to post this on the front page as a public apology for his recent actions within the JA:

I must apologize to cHoSeN-oNe and JumpinJedi, my recent comments have been very rude and unjust. You both are right, I've been much of a jerk since I came back to the Jedi Academy. But I'm not backing down, and not leaving. All I can hope to do ask for your forgiveness and start from scratch.

I do know that you both have earned your rank through hard work, and both have the right to it. I never meant to imply that you didn't. If anything, I didn't earn mine, or rather, maintain it correctly. I became single-minded, and only wanted the reconition I thought I deserved.

I do thank you for completing my script cHoSeN-oNe, I hope you can forgive me for my recent comments towards you. I also want to say sorry to the entire Jedi Academy, I haven't been quite the upstanding player, and have set a bad example. At the time of my lost of rank, I did not deserve it, and it was entirely my fault.

Oh, the reason I was put on the Counsil/Staff, is exactly that... I was interested in only bettering the Jedi Academy... Making friends, and generally making the Jedi Academy a fun place to be at... Not because of a script or anything... And I hope this is what every player at the Academy strives to do.
