Well, the path of the oNe has finally come to an end. I have been here a long time and have met a lot of great people, but recent RL activities has forced me to take this kind of action. I am officially stepping down as JAC and retiring from the Jedi Academy. I want to thank each and every one of you for supporting me through it all, the good and the bad. This is my true homeland, for it taught me to grow as a person and as a programmer. If it wasn't for the JA, I probably would have never tried to create a mod on my own. I will miss you all so much and may the force be with you. I especially want to thank my closest friends: Kev, Chris, Jacen, Huxley, and Whispy for everything they have done for me. As usual everytime one of our staff members needs to step down I ask them to write a little goodbye speech. Here is Jello's: During the last few months since school started, I've lost intrest for the game. I dont know if its that I didnt have time to play, which I did sometimes, but it just lost its fun. All I do is sit around on irc poking fun at Aratan, and I dont believe that is the duty of a knight. I havent been on the servers (except for Vlad's memorial) for a good amount of time in about 2 months. I've tried to come back many times, as some of you may remember, but that lasts for about a few days and I lose it again. I've dissapointed alot of people, especially my padawans. Onion, darkwood, Kow, and Rosered are the only ones that come to mind now. I'm very sorry you guys. Well, thats it. I'm not leaving the JA for good, youll still see me on irc like usual... but no more knighthood for me. I've received word through Odan Wei that our student Vladarion's life was taken in an accident on Christmas last year. I've left details on his profile. My heart goes out to his family and friends at the Jedi Academy and elsewhere. Vladarion was a model student and the epitome of the kind of person that makes this community so great. Rest In Peace, sir. EDIT BY DOOBIE: I've gone ahead and made Vladarion our first student member of the Jedi Academy Hall of Fame. I know this doesn't mean much in the long run, but the Council, Trainers, and Knights have all feel that it's important to remember him, and we feel, in our small way, that this is a great way to do so. My heartfelt wishes go out to Kimberly and the entire Allen family. Kimberly, if you're reading this, the JA feels your loss and grieves alongside you. |

Profile pic uploading is fixed. Font sizes should be more or less regular. If you see any issues with font size please let me know. I'm working on the centering bug in IE/WinXP. Edited forum threads no longer disappear. We had about 16 threads go to limbo. I've restored them to where it looked like they're supposed to go, but check just to make sure. I have a new bg color picked out that hopefully won't be as blinding as the one here. |

There have been some small changes to the website. I hope you like them. As with all site updates please let me know if you see any errors. This place has been completely re-written in XHTML 1.0 and uses CSS positioning for alot of stuff now instead of crazy tables. It isn't 100% cool in the w3c validator yet, but I'm working on it. There are article and holocron sections added, but staff members please hold off on adding anything yet. I need to go over how to work it. Things to do: Some user management updates. Addition of class departments to the class system. Change the background color Get a way to display "new" comments and forum posts (may need help on this one) Display comments by page number instead of generic back and next buttons Various other things. Some of you may remember (or have even used) the JA Holocron for JK2. Well DJ is working on integrating the Holocron with the site and we decided to revive it and update it for JK:JA! Ruuk Haviser, the Holocron Coordinator, has been taken over by RL and MINDOfSIN, his second in command, is AWOL, so we need someone (preferably from the original team) to head up the update project and others to help fill out the the team. In thier first-ever match, against the clan Fairy, our very own TFFA Aurochs came out victorious! It was a 4vs4 best 2 out of 3 match, each round to 75 points. The first round was very close 74-75 Fairy, but on the second and third rounds we took them to the cleaners by 10-20 points. All in all it was a very intense match. You know him as Boobs, Bubba, Bub, Popo or plain old Bubu
As you might remember he had to step down from his position due to RL issues but he is now back. Welcome back boobsie. |
