JA Calendar 2006 - September Edition -DJ Sith- Sep 05 03:54am -7 comments-
Here's the latest on the JA Calendar from DarthMike!

This month's calendar can be found here.

We are running short on pictures, so please send in anything you think would make a nice calendar to calendar@thejediacademy.net. Obviously Eica leaving has caused some problems, but I am going to be contacting some people to try to replenish the crew. If you are interested in helping out, just give me a shout on my profile or MSN.

The sheriff's a [CLANG] -Buzz- Aug 30 05:50pm -21 comments-
Well not quite. However the Deputy is a Swede. I am very pleased to announce that Hardwired has accepted the position of Deputy Enforcer. He's been a staff member for sometime and this will now increase his role. He'll be able to do things with bannings and warnings, and able to cover additional times of the day I may not be available on. He'll also assist the JAC's with whatever we can sucker him into doing.

So give him some congratulations and then run and hide!

Short Story Competition -Virtue- Aug 28 06:55pm -2 comments-
I'd like to draw your imaginative attention towards my competition! Please?

Okay friendlies, put away your robe and wizard hats and get your pen and paper out. I'm having a Short Story competition, this is a perfect chance to be creative at no cost. Don't worry if you're 'no good at writing' just enter, what have you got to lose?

Please go to this thread for more info!

Good luck people! :)

Everyone give a big congratulations to our newest Knight Piccolo, who just passed his trials.

Welcome aboard Piccolo, and way to go!

Tha JA goes back to Basics... -Virtue- Aug 23 08:54pm -29 comments-
Man, I really do love my tacky, double-meaning, silly news titles!
The JA just wouldn't be the same without them. Lol.

Okay... Announcement!
Due to the fact that the mod we currently use has certain "faults" in regard to gameplay (Though no fault of cHoSeN-oNe, btw!) - I have just changed all of our US Servers to basejka servers.
I'm working on Wireplay right now, but the darned mod seems to be caching in a directory that I don't have access to, so I'm going to need to E-Mail Mr. Nut tonight and get him to remove that cache - then Wireplay will be a Base server aswell! :D

Now, as for ranks: The JAK+ DO still have admin access to the Servers via JAbot (thanks in no small part to R2D2), so if you hold a rank in the JA, please go to your respective Forum asap for a report on how to use JAbot to administrate the servers.

As of right now it is uncertain how long the Servers will remain like this, if we manage to get the mod fixed and are 100% sure that the gameplay is basetastic, then we'll implement a mod again.

I am going to miss spawning stuff for you guys though. :(

But oh well, BETTER GAMEPLAY! YAY!!

Viva La Academia!!

Another new Jedi Knight! -Virtue- Aug 01 04:45pm -22 comments-
Congratulations to Wicek, who successfully completed his Jedi Knight Trials today.

Welcome aboard Wicek, we hope you'll do us proud.

There's Movement!! -Virtue- Jul 23 06:05pm -30 comments-
Whew, it's like waiting for a bus...
You wait forever and not one of them will come along, then a whole bunch of them all turn up at once and you're like "WTF?!"

Having said that, a warm congratulations are in order for the following people:
Kenny Jowol for becoming our latest (and first, for quite a while) Jedi Knight.
I was at his trials and let me tell you, I was SUPER impressed. Kenny is one of the most legit, yet awesomely skilled players out there and personally, I'm thrilled to have him on our staff now!

Rosered and R2D2 also deserve a warm congratulations as they have climbed the ranks even higher and now sit proudly as Jedi Trainers!
Expect to see some really new classes on the way!

All of these people are awesome, and all of which deserve a big pat on the back.
...Ohhh, I'm excited now!! :D
