My favorite concert moment was at a Rush show at Jones Beach Ampitheatre. I was sitting 1st row with my X  . When they played Spirit of Radio, during the "invisible airwaves crackle with life" part, I did the old "duck quacking" maneuver over my head (Geddy did this on one of their live videos). Alex (guitarist) looks right at me and says, "That's old!". I just nodded and basically let him know that I've been a fan of theirs for that long. That was the highlight of my concert going career.
Another cool thing at that show was this 9yr old girl a few seats down singing each and every song not missing one lyric. Towards the end of the show, they brought her up on stage, gave her a pair of drumsticks and a T-shirt. DMB Favorite concert moment #2 First time seeing DMB at hersey stadium in Hershey Pa. Actually 2 memorable things happened here. First,we showed 5 hours early so that we could enjoy the park and get some eats. When we went to ride the Super Dooper Looper we end up waiting in line with Dave,the bass player, and violin guy. Very nice guys. This was the first show for my wife who was then my gf, or maybe it was just a date,can't remember. Anyway, there we are hanging out enjoying the show when this chick walks up and stands beside me. The next thing I know she's holding my hand,and then she proceeds to kiss me. My wife sees this and blows her lid. She begins yelling at this chick who says in return "chill out there's enough of me for both of you' to which I respond "right on baby". Unfortunately that was as far as it went. It ended with my wife chasing her away and not talking to me for 3 weeks. On the positive side the next guy the chick went to spent the next hour or so making out with a hot chick. Some guys have all the luck. This comment was edited by Arcuss on Mar 09 2003 06:09pm. |
