Broadband (DSL or Cable) will clear up any high ping problem. It is more expensive than dial-up, but it's very much worth it (not just for JK2). Changing your video card and turning all that stuff off will only give you a better frame rate, I don't think it will do much to lower your ping.

ok, here is the secret. Get a newer Vcard. Turn off MSN/AOL etc. Turn off any downloads. Turn off kazaa/morpheus, etc. Anything that uses the inet, turn it off. You could try turning down your game settings, tweaking your connection, or getting broadband.

One way (besides getting broadband, ) is to connect to a server that is physically closer to your part of the country. On DJ Siths' Texas based server i usually get around 100 to 300 ping. On the [ks] in Kansas i get 300 to 999! _______________ "You want eternal rest?
